As the World Turns: Eileen Fulton Nominated for MAC Award

Eileen Fulton was nominated for a MAC Award for Female Celebrity Artist, according to Playbill. The nominees were announced on March 25 by several people, including Fulton. According to their Website, MAC (The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs) was founded in 1983 as an organization of business people in the cabaret industry, including club owners, booking agents, managers, journalists and publicists. The MAC awards recogize talents in cabaret, comedy, and jazz with over two dozen categories.

Fulton was introduced more that 40 years ago as daytime's first villainess, Lisa Miller. Despite her character's bad behavior, she has remained a fan favorite for decades. As a cabaret performer, Fulton has played singing engagements in many top nightclubs around the country and starred in several one-woman New York shows.

The 22nd Annual MAC awards will be presented on May 6 at the BB King Blues Club in Manhattan. The award show will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of the organization.
