Eric Forrester's youngest creation-Ashley Jones, who plays his daughter Bridget-will star in a pair of original TV movies for Lifetime this May, according to the Bold and the Beautiful's official website.
First up is A Teacher's Crime (Sat., May 3, 9/8c), which has the teacher character played by Jones blackmailed by the father figure of one of her troubled students. The sleazeball in question threatens Jones character with accusations of sexual impropriety with the student if she doesn't pay up, after he learns she has a millionaire father. A Teacher's Crime is sure to be highly provocative with all the real life scandals in recent years with teachers involved with their students.
Then on May 31 (check your local listings), the former Young and the Restless actress stars in Dead at 17 for the cabler. In this flick, which the talented actress also executive produced, Jones plays a stripper hired by a group of randy teenage boys for a night of seemingly innocent fun that goes fatally wrong.
Good for Jones for adding the producer cap to her resume. There is always so much talk about there not being enough meaningful roles out there for women, so I applaud women who take their careers into their own hands and start creating their own stories.
