Well guys, it looks like I'm going to be doing a bit of moonlighting. No, I'm not recreating the Bruce Willis role for a new CW remake next season opposite Lauren from The Hills in the Cybil Shepherd role (although if this project does get greenlit I SO want my cut!), instead I've been selected as an official blogger for The Bold and the Beautiful's website.
I couldn't be happer about becoming part of B&B's awesome site. I have watched the soap on and off since about 1989 (during summers at an aunt's house, who simply refused to change the channel to NBC so I could see Jack and Jennifer!). I became a permanent fan once I followed Y&R's resident psycho Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) down from Genoa City to L.A. in 1992 and haven't looked away since, well...there was the time when one of Taylor's precious little twins was supposedly eaten by a shark! Today the girls have less fishy problems, like a Mama whose taken a page from Brooke Logan when it comes to bedding her daughter's beaux.
B&B is both a delicious, campy romp (Donna Logan dressed as a Lioness purring across the floor in search of her "prey" Eric) and courageous high drama (the aftermath of Storm's suicide) and even when it frustrates me the soap is always entertaining and never a chore to watch, which sadly I can't say for much of daytime these days. So join me over at B&B's blog section and don't worry, I will still be bringing the dish right here for the Daytime Confidential blog and the podcasts. What's that saying? I'll sleep when I'm dead! And if it's a soap death, I'll simply come back in five years and/or after a particularly sucky pilot season!
