Welcome to the second week of semifinals in the Adonis 2008 Competition at soaphunks.net!!
Before we begin quick reminder: The results chat is tonight LIVE FROM VEGAS!! at 10pmEST/7pmPST where we find out who made it through to the finals from the guys in week 1. Make sure to come check it out. And I'll be back tomorrow night to announce the results here for everybody who missed it.
Now onto week 2..sure to be interesting with the rival days men to see who comes out on top. This is a well rounded week though with men from all 3 networks. So while fans of Lucas and EJ battle each other lets not forget the other hotties in the running. Who knows, maybe one of them will sneak in during the chaos or due to it. Remember you can't give all votes to one guy as now you have to rank them from 1 to 8, so think strategically.
Again we are going to post a mock poll here to see what the Daytime Confidential fans are thinking in regards to how they'll vote. But make sure after you vote here to go vote in the real poll at soaphunks.net/vote !!
As previous competitions has shown no one is ever safe so make sure you get there and support your favorite guy. The following week the results will return to their normal date and time which is Wednesdays at 10pmEST/7pmPST!!

white white white white white white white..................
daytime is so racist! all the shows have majority white casts. the oldest daytime soap is about 60 years old and there are still no core families of color on every soap, there are still no asian core families and heck that are not even any asian characters!
it's just like with luke/noah. all they do is represent the racism in the lgbt community and in daytime. tv has enough white lgbt characters. they should stop hogging the spot light and let the lgbt characters of color be focused on.
this adonis soaphunks poll reflects that!

It's truly a sad state soaps are in. I counted. There are 6 black women with contracts. Actually Kent Masters King makes it 5. and 10 black men:

Ironically, AMC has the most blacks on contract considering that it is considered the lily white soap of ABC with Y&R with a close second. BTW, GH has not one black on contract and that relly says something about the state of soaps.

And I agree...the lack of diversity on soaps is disturbing. Anything that doesn't fit the white, straight, thin, young mold scares the crap out of TPTB

There are definitely problems with diversity in daytime, but attacking the Adonis Hunks competition to drive that point home is about as rational as my going to my local city council meeting to discuss the media bias in the current presidential election.

to each his own. but i am thisclose to quitting daytime bec. of the lack of racial diversity. i mean, come on. atwtw has been on for like 50 years and up to now, there are still no core families of color on all soaps. there are still no asian families and even asian characters on all soaps or lgbt characters of color. the adonic "hunks" poll just reinforces the homogenous casting practices in daytime.

of course i do. she was played by ming na. and then recasted and played by lea salonga, a filipina actress! atwt can't even get races casted correctly.
speaking of casting, when they put out a casting call for noah, they only specified caucasian.
