HomeTVAll My ChildrenBREAKING NEWS: Leven Rambin OUT at “All My Children” Jamey Giddens May 29, 2008 All My Children, Lipstick Jungle 10 Comments Soap Opera Weekly is reporting that Leven Rambin (Lily/Ava) has issued a statement confirming her exit from All My Children. The talented actress has made more of name for herself in the pages of the NYC society blogs of late, as her lookalike characters have rested on the backburner. Here’s Rambin’s statement to her fans: "First of all, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your unwavering support of me and my characters over the past 4 years. As you know, I started All My Children when I was extremely young, so I essentially grew up there; memories of my teenage years will consist mostly of days (and nights) spent at All My Children. It has been such an amazing forum for me to grow as a person and an actress. I was so fortunate to be in such an environment for the past 4 years. But, alas, much like my peers who are graduating high school around this time, it’s time to move on. Four long but amazing years of my life have been spent with All My Children, and I will always look back on my experience there fondly. I feel it is time for me as an actress to expand and have new opportunities, and I thankAll My Childrenfor respecting my decision. My last filming date was May19th. I am looking forward to that day with optimism but a sense of sadness as well. I have come to an understanding that soap fans are unlike any other; dedicated, passionate, and loving. I am honored to have you all rooting for me. All my love, Leven " 10 Responses terrifictam May 29, 2008 I am not surprised at all! She’s incredibly talented! I really enjoyed her portrayal of Lily. I wonder if they will recast her?? I’m wishing Leven the best of luck and will continue to be a fan Log in to Reply Jakikay May 29, 2008 I think I may be in the minority but I can’t say that I am sad. I can’t stand Ava and Lily started to really bug me once she got involved with Jonathan. But I do wish her well! Log in to Reply THEBEST May 29, 2008 Good luck, Leven! I hated the character of Ava and there is only so much that you could do with Lily. I hope that her exit (as well as Richie’s & Julia’s) is the beginning of AMC getting rid of their dead weight. Let’s get Pine Valley back in shape. ***///Living In The World Of Soaps Since 1985\\\*** Log in to Reply elvara May 29, 2008 Completely overrated. Log in to Reply Equarter May 29, 2008 I think she has one heck of a future. She is such a wonderful actor. I’m not surprised because I haven’t seen her on screen in about 3 months. I was wondering. Good Luck Leven! Log in to Reply Danielle May 30, 2008 I am glad her characters are gone. I am not sure what more you can do with Lily and Avathegermanshepard can go back to the kennel. I wish Levin luck though she is very talented! Log in to Reply dsrbroadway May 30, 2008 It’s a shame one writer decimated two characters for the price of one, and the next writing team was busy one the yawn-worthy quadrangle to worry about them. Anyway, I do hope Leven is careful with her personal and professional life going forward, because otherwise it would be wasted potential. Log in to Reply Luke Kerr May 30, 2008 Will miss Lily immensly but won’t miss Ava for a second. Log in to Reply elbugten June 2, 2008 ITA w/ Luke. Yay Lily, Nay Ava. Although I suppose it says something when the same actress can evoke two completely different reactions from me. I’m hoping Leven stays focused on her career and doesn’t become yet another starlet. She’s a good actress but she needs to stay out of the society pages and off the red carpet for awhile, IMO. Log in to Reply Jamey Giddens May 30, 2008 I love Lily, Ava, notsomuch. Just a poor excuse to give a character a dual role. I would love for them to recast Lily and proceed to tell the story of an autistic young woman attempting to navigate her way through adult lilfe.
