I must say May Sweeps is really making the ratings game pretty interesting lately. First I just want to say congratulations to One Life To Live for not only tying General Hospital but also being the top rated ABC soap opera this week! This is great news for the hardest working soap opera that has bounced back from the basement levels and has been the best written soap on Daytime since Ron Carlivati regained headwriting status. I now wonder if or how long it will take All My Children to bring back its viewers when new headwriter Charles Pratt takes over duties from Barbara Esensten and James Harmon Brown?

Although the happy news ends with ABC as the CBS soaps have now seen their audience dwindle with the big shocker of having an all-time new low for Young & The Restless. Ouch! Sad to say this very boring show is really starting to lose hardcore fans and I'm crossing my fingers new headwriter Hogan Sheffer can put the brakes on this freefalling dynasty.

Perhaps the problem lies with the top executives in charge at CBS which seem to be making one heck of a mess of this once powerhouse daytime network. Remember when the top three rated soaps were Young & The Restless, Bold & The Beautiful, and As The World Turns? With Y&R and B&B posting losses of -420,000 and -302,000 viewers compared to the previous week, you know there is major trouble at the 'Eye Network' and heads must roll!
