Emmy Moments: Jennifer Finnigan Wins Younger Actress

2004 a sweet year for Bold & Beautiful’s Jennifer Finnigan. She took home the award for Outstanding Younger Actress for playing the role of Bridget Forrester in what is often a tough category. It is interesting to note that of the women nominated in the category that year only Christel Khalil is still "in" daytime.

  • Jennifer Finnigan – Bold & Beauitful
  • Christel Khalil – Young & Restless
  • Eden Riegel – All My Children
  • Alicia Leigh Willis – General Hospital
  • Lauren Woodland – Young & Restless

Oh, how I miss Jennifer Finnigan! She really was outstanding and deserved all her Emmys. B&B has yet to find a young actress strong enough to fill the void left by her. Newcomer Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) who, like Finnigan, is Canadian, seems quite promising. It’ll be interesting to see if she has what it takes to become the next JF.

Soapscribe, I couldn’t agree more – she was fantastic as Bridget. She was the actress that made me a huge Budge fan. Ashley Jones is doing a damn fine job too IMO (a shame the character is now everybody’s doormat).

Fingers crossed Jacqueline MacInnes Wood is going to make her mark, as B&B has been sorely lacking a younger actress in Jennifer Finnigan’s league. Here’s hoping!
