As the World Turns: Dylan Bruce Put On Recurring

Dylan Bruce has been put on recurring, according to We Love Soaps.

I have to say, this comes as a bit of a  surprise, to me, considering Bruce and Chris Hughes have been on front burner since his arrival. I'm beginning to wonder if the character of Chris Hughes is cursed. Bruce's portrayal is the 8th incarnation of the character.

Thanks to MarkDutchViewer for the tip!

Well, the show had to make some moves to pay for the returns of James and Dusty. I had a feeling firing Jon Prescott wasn't going to be the end of things. As for Chris, his version has been a bust. The actor is terrible, the portrayal of Chris is unlikeable and the triangle with Ali and Aaron is boring.

I think this is a horrible move on ATWT's part. Dylan Bruce's is very talented and his version of Chris has been the best by far, I love, love, love his portrayal and he's hot to boot!!! The Chris/Ali/Aaron triangle is one that actually works! And now they're abandoning it, WTF? I am very upset about this, hopefully Mr. Bruce will still be featured prominently because he's one of the reasons I ditched watching Days and switched to ATWT.

If this is true I'm really sad to hear this. I really like this Chris and I think that him and Alison have amazing chemistry. He also has great chemistry with my beloved Dr. Bob and Kim. I loved him in the Rick Decker hospital fiasco.

As sexy as he is, this was a good move. It simply was not working. Bring back Matt. He was the only per5son that Alison had chemistry with.

So far, the verdict on Dylan Bruce & his character Chris is tied. Who is going to break it?

Without touching on what's been done with the writing of the character, I really liked Bruce in the role. He's gorgeous for starters, and his portrayal of Chris is charismatic and credible. He kind of reminds me of Jennifer Gareis as Donna "Don't Call Me Ms. Logan" Forrester. I never feel like I'm watching the best actor ever, but I just really believe him as this character.

I think he's done a really good job in the role but my favorite Chris, of the three I've seen, is the one who is now on TNT's Saving Grace.

OMG, Luke! I was just thinking "what about the dude that played on Buffy who played Chris." I just looked him up, his name is Bailey Chase.

They need to just go get Jessica Dunphy.

i love ya guys, but jessica dunphy was terrible as ali, i think she was too whiny and immature. I love marnie, she is a more mature ali, and can sing too boot. I think Dylan Bruce did a good job, but he was too modely almost too perfect. If the budget is this bad, there goes my dream of having kristina sisco back as abby, and putting her with chris, can u imagine seeing holden with all six of his children, that would be a first. They should have brought abby back instead of dani, whos parents dont even live in oakdale.

This is typical Goutman. Bring in a competent actor for a legacy role, then write a story that can't help but alienate the female audience, then complain that the actor didn't "connect" with that audience. Sounds like Adam all over again. I hope that they can reverse this decision and start writing Chris as the hero he should be before they lose Dylan Bruce.
