The writers should bring back Niki Hughes and Lucy ,Maddie to that`s what`s missing from Casey an Emily`s storyline to. And I agree that Paul and Meg need to go or Chris ,Alision and Araon they really need to find out who these people are enough plots storylines.

Stop bringing in newbies that can't act out of a paper bag. It is embarrassing to watch a bunch of hair models trying to act. They need to get real actors to play.

Get rid of Paul and Meg. I can't stand t hem and don't' care for them and hope that they just go away.

Have Barbara and Lucinda as business partners. And bring Carly into the mix with Lily, too.

Bring John Dixon back.

Have Luke and Noah imitate with each other. Let them have sex and get it over with them in bed and talking about it. Let it be done with it already so they can move it along.

Get new head writer and ep

Before I listen to this podcast. I need to be warned if Luke or anyone else is going to start talking about Jack negatively. I need to be able to prepare myself.

As the new and not fully vetted semi-regular ATWT blogger, I think you guys really hit it on the head in many respects. This is one of the more substantive podcasts in this series and of course I don't quite agree with some of the comments I think a lot of your criticisms can be summed up thusly:

ATWT really suffers the most from missed opportunities. And not so much from who they could or not bring back or get rid of but rather among the cast they are working with now. By truncating the sexual harassment storyline (which should have drawn out for months), a magnificent opportunity for an all-out, old fashioned soap war between families with long histories was simply dropped for no good reason.

This is just one example in a long, laundry list of others -- Lucinda's and now Barbara's cancer, the returns of James and Rosanna and Craig, this misuse of Robin Mattson, Daniel Hugh Kelly and Wally Kurth, and God has lost count of the number of story line threads that have been started and dropped -- that ATWT has botched in the service of short term thinking (to be fair which is also a function of budget).

Ms. Passanante needs a co-headwriter. She's not bad, but she needs some help.

A fantastic podcast gentlemen.

Awww... the Paul and Meg hate really warmed my heart! LOL

Great podcast! I did not agree with everything, but that's only natural. For example, I really like Marnie Schulenberg's Alison, while I was not a fan of Jessica Dunphy in the role. They just need to write a good story for her.

I also see Noah in a different way. While Luke is the more outspoken gay guy becoming more radical like Mike mentioned, I don't think Noah is self loathing. His reasons for being so deep in the closet was not because of himself, but because of his very conservative father. It was the only family he had and he didn't want to lose it. Noah has found a new family with the Snyders and as long as he's happy with Luke, and Luke's family accepts them as a couple, Noah will be happy. Luke on the other hand seems to want everyone to accept him. It's an interesting dynamic IMO and the Fall previews were hinting that that would play a part in their new storyline. And about making Noah bisexual, I think it's too late for that. They would have to rewrite history and I hate it when they do that. When Ameera put on a sexy dress for Noah, Noah told her and I quote: "This isn't what I want. I've been with a woman and it just doesn't work for me." And when she kissed him anyway he told her that "This can't happen".

I would love to see Robin Mattson back on the show as Charlene's sister. It's sad that she and Jake never had a scene together (not counting the scene where Winston, Noah and Maddie walked into the Lakeview lounge and saw an argument between Charlene and Dusty. Dusty and Noah had a lot of scenes together, but as soon as it was known that Grayson would leave, those scenes were dropped. I always thought they would make Dusty Noah's father and that would cause conflict between Holden and Dusty in some way. I wonder if they will pick that up again now that Dusty will be back, or if they will just ignore it. Craig would've been great as Noah's father too. We still would've Scott Bryce and I think it would be interesting to see Craig with a gay son. Especially when all of his kids are dead or missing.

I like the outdoor scenes, and I don't know if they're better than Guiding Light, because I don't watch that show, but ATWT's location scenes are a joke compared to the location scenes on the Dutch soap I watch. I do like them, but sometimes the lighting of those scenes is really bad.

And something that is maybe not that important and wouldn't really improve the show, but what happened to the opening credits? We've had that ATWT logo on a black background for months now. Are they really that lazy to update the opening they have?
