HomeTVDirty Sexy MoneyPrivate Practice Picked Up For Full Season Luke Kerr October 23, 2008 Dirty Sexy Money, Greys Anatomy, Private Practice, Pushing Daisies 11 Comments Private Practice fans can breathe a sigh of relief. The Grey’s Anatomy spinoff has been picked up for a full season. The pickup comes amid concern for many Wednesday night ABC fans as ratings for Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money are both down significantly from their first seasons. According to Live Feed: All have returned down significantly this year, but "Practice" has been the highest rated of the bunch. The most recent episode garnered 7.4 million viewers and a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49 and a 6 share. Season to date, its averaging 8.3 million viewers and a 3.2/8. Plus, ABC points out "Practice" has been growing 45% from "Daisies." While I personally enjoy Private Practice, wouldn’t you guess that the two show’s of the lineup I’m rooting for most are the ones suffering ratings declines. 11 Responses season1217 October 23, 2008 I’m praying for Pushing Daisies. That’s the most beautiful show on television. And, let me reiterate, if it gets cancelled while a show like Knight Rider gets picked up for a full season, there will be hell to pay! ________________________ //**SIZ FOR LIFE**\\ Log in to Reply Luke Kerr October 23, 2008 Oh yeah, huge fan of both DSM and PD. It would be a crying shame if they were cancelled because the Writers Strike hurt them…I am surprised that DSM is doing so bad. It did well last time. I wonder if the youngest Darling daughter not being on has affected things. I watched the first episode this season and then I killed my Season Pass on Tivo – sorry to the remaining fans (on the bright side – I am NOT a Nielsen household). Is it me? Did I just lose interest? Or is it because Olive wasn’t on as much? I think it is such a pretty show and I really like Ned (I watched him in Wonderfalls on DVD). It’s not magically and cute like it was last year. Log in to Reply season1217 October 23, 2008 You all have been drinking that MonaVie! Haven’t you?! ________________________ //**SIZ FOR LIFE**\\ Log in to Reply Luke Kerr October 23, 2008 I agree with season, I think it’s just like last season except the main guy character seems way more obsessed and needy. Also, I think the aunt’s lack of screen time may be a factor. Log in to Reply Chrystie-Delancey October 23, 2008 I wish I could blame it on MonaVie, but on the other hand, I watch too much TV as it is. I am glad that others agree that it has lost something this year. It’s a shame, though. Log in to Reply Jorpa October 23, 2008 I agree about PD. It has lost it’s oomph for sure. I like PP, but it’s not must see for me. I’m really shocked about DSM’s ratings. I think it’s better this season. Log in to Reply Luke Kerr October 24, 2008 The twin sister was one of my favorites from last season on DSM so for me it sucks to watch the show without her…I wonder if the show lost any ratings because of getting rid of the character. Log in to Reply terrifictam October 24, 2008 Love PRIVATE PRACTICE. I still wish Addison would go back to Greys though. Seattle Grace is not the same without her energy. I do however love PP and really enjoy their character driven stories. Well acted and great stories.
