When I think of that interview, it gives me pause as to what goes down on soaps... I would LOVE Victoria Rowell to come back to Y&R as La Diva, Drucilla but it just doesn't seem like Y&R's willing to do so and I doubt after that interview w/DC they'd welcome her with open arms. However.... In the case that they do decide to break down and recast Dru (God please don't let that happen) I would like to see someone that is a force to reckon with land that plum gig.. Someone like Vivica A. Fox.... I know she's too much of a celeb to go on there but I am thinking about the interview she did with our own Mr. Giddens where she's open to the idea and she did star on Y&R before as a different character. Hell they all do and come back... I betcha this: Michelle would think twice before spiting her on her ass! Vivica don't play and she would tear a scene up with anyone on that canvas and tear some ass up for that shit.

Victoria Rowell is the ONLY Drucilla Barber Winters. Vivica A. Fox could NOT do the part justice if she was chosen as a recast. My suggestion as a recast? Jasmine Guy. Yes, Whitley Gilbert from the 90s NBC sitcom "A Different World." Jasmine could be fierce in that role. But, ONLY if Victoria Rowell is given first right of refusal.

SoapSnob I am all for VR coming back. I'm not trying to lobby for her not to, far from it. However, with those behind the scene @ her old stomping ground letting petty differences get in the way and other things I'm starting to doubt if she'll ever come back to Y&R... Vivica's the only one that IMO can live up to the chracter of Drucilla. She would embody the take charge aspect of Dru should CBS decide they would want to recas the role.... I've always hoped they'd get with it and bring Dru back as VR off that cliff but it doesn't seem so right about now..

Yea i have seen DC All over aussie/UK soap forums. Congrats Luke for being known around the world Wink.

Isn't it sad looking at that cover and not seeing Home and away, or Neighbours? but a bunch of old episodes of US Soaps? Sad current H&A/Neighbours is better then those epiosdes -.-.

((DAYS: Who shot EJ, B&B is only 3 months behindish and YR is ummmmmmmmm idk awhile lol but it's on a pay channel so not alot of people get it.))

I still don't understand why people LOVE B&B -.-

I personally can't stand Victoria Rowell. I think she is overrated and certainly has a high opinion of herself. I don't really wonder why Y&R would not want her back.

I love the idea of Jasmine Guy playing "Drucilla." That would be a really great re-cast but the point is that the behind the scenes stuff can be just as scandalous, if not more so then the show sometimes. That interview was raw, down and dirty. I love Victoria Rowell's honesty, bluntness and integrity. The fact that she would still be willing to come back to play the role for her fans is a testament to her as a person. I think she is a strong role-model, not just for black females but for everyone. I love Michelle Stafford. "Phyllis" is one of my all time faves but spitting on her face is so low and was definitely a means to humiliate Victoria. Michelle must really have some issues, insecurities and jealousies to behave like that. I am surprised that the DC interview did not make it into more of the US soap publications like SOW and SOD. They both should have been on it or they were just pissed that they did not get the scoop and you guys did. Luke and Jamey did a fabulous job with that interview and I am glad that some soap media is making it known even if it is in Australia. Anyway, congrats on the great interview and I am sure we wil be hearing from Ms. Rowell again. I am looking forward to that book she is writing "Secrets of a Soap Diva." I am sure she will use real life incidents in the book. Heck, if she has more stories like that one and how Peter Bergman treated her, then we are all in for one juicy read.

You gotta understand that the magazine was only ever about the US Soaps until the last few years - we have other TV magazines here that put H&A and Neighbours on their covers til the cows come home.  Soap World and TV Soap were only about the US soap coverage.  Now they cover them all - even the UK soaps.

And they're not old episodes of US Soaps - they are current for what Australia is watching!!

When people are folding clothes, paying bills and walking to montages of crappy music it's time to start caring.

And considering Eastenders airs on pay-per-view for dishnetwork subscribers but gets no coverage ((Come on PASSIONS got more coverage on dtv)), and Hollyoaks which was on BBCA got 0 coverage as well (The soap mag's reasoning was "Its on a cable channel that not a majority of our audience get" yet passions got coverage on the 101 which even fewer people got then bbca).

We should care about what's out there when the US soaps are going down the drain but other soaps are gaining viewers.

We should be looking at the differences and the trends and figuring out why they are dying here, yet gaining in other English speaking countries.

Also while we are doing all this research and explaining and such can someone explain to me why the rest of the world LOVES B&B????????

Victoria Rowell Is a large missing peace to Winters Family and after this interview I just don't see it happening anytime soon. I'm not surprised about her comments about MS from what I know of her It's not good.
