HomeTVDirty Sexy MoneyABC Shakes Up Schedule Luke Kerr November 11, 2008 Dirty Sexy Money, Greys Anatomy, Life on Mars, Lost, Ugly Betty 12 Comments ABC is shaking up its primetime lineup, according to The Live Feed. Reportedly Private Practice will be joining Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy on Thursday nights. Meanwhile LOST will be returning in January and taking Private Practice’s current spot. Life On Mars, which currently follows Grey’s Anatomy, will be moving from Thursday to Wednesday following LOST. What the report doesn’t reveal is where Dirty Sexy Money might end up, though it does indicate that things are looking up for a DSM renewal. 12 Responses miajere November 11, 2008 I smell cancellations for many shows….I could be wrong but Grey’s Anatomy will tank just about any show following it- and not because “it’s just sooo good.” Someone around there must like Life on Mars enough to move it. Log in to Reply samrocks November 11, 2008 I’m going through Lost withdrawals. Need…Sawyer…now… Log in to Reply season1217 November 11, 2008 No news on Pushing Daisies? I hope it will still come on on Wednesday’s at 8. That and Lost and Life on Mars back-to-back-to-back would be great, at least, for me. ________________________ //**No one on the corner has swagger like us!**\\ Log in to Reply Luke Kerr November 11, 2008 According to that article PD and Eli Stone are in danger of cancellation though DSM looks like it will get picked up. Log in to Reply LIASONADDICT November 11, 2008 I really hope DSM gets picked up it just keeps getting better n better every week. BRIAN DARLING ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Log in to Reply season1217 November 11, 2008 It would devastate me if they cancelled my beloved Pushing Daisies. I’d rather it move to cable. Like to USA or something than for it to go away completely. I hope ABC holds on to it, though. What other show in there line up has been Emmy nominated? Grey’s. Lost. What else? ________________________ //**No one on the corner has swagger like us!**\\ Log in to Reply Chrystie-Delancey November 11, 2008 I heard they have until January to decide the fate of Pushing Daisies. I think I read they filmed their 13th episode but nothing else has been ordered yet. LIFE ON MARS is a great show. I am glad it is getting moved to a new night. It could always be worse. I read the other day that FOX is putting the new Jos Whedon show DOLLHOUSE on Fridays because they do not want 24 to lose viewers. HOUSE is supposed to be the lead in to 24 on Mondays when PRISON BREAK goes on fall hiatus. That’s pretty sad for a new show that has had as much buzz as FRINGE to be immediately demoted to Friday nights. Log in to Reply Luke Kerr November 12, 2008 Wait, I thought that Terminator is being paired with Dollhouse on Friday? Not Fringe. Log in to Reply Chrystie-Delancey November 12, 2008 Sorry for the confusion in my post Luke. I only mentioned FRINGE in the same breath as DOLLHOUSE because they were both hyped up so much this past summer. I believe FRINGE is staying put. I don’t watch PP, but it kind of makes sense. I think when it first aired, it did fairly well for a new series, but I’m not sure how the current ratings are, have they fallen a bit? This might be a last ditch effort to save PP by pairing it with it’s mother show. Don’t watch Life on Mars, either, but it sounds like a much better fit as a companion piece to Lost, and I’m thrilled that Lost is returning to Wed nights at 9pm. I always worked so early in the morning that staying up until 11 was difficult. Although it’d be great if Lost returned back to it’s 8pm timeslot on Wed night. Don’t know about Pushing Daisies, but it would make sense to air before Lost, as it’s a fantasy as well. But I guess that depends on whether it gets picked up for a full season or not Log in to Reply Luke Kerr November 12, 2008 The whole Wednesday lineup, which did great in the ratings last fall before the strike has been suffering this year because they were all away for so long. That’s why PD is in danger of cancellation and DSM status is in question. I just don’t think Greys and PP are the same kind of fans…I think people will watch Ugly Betty, GA, and then turn the channel and say PP is not for them. It may be a GA spinoff but nothing has survived after Thursday’s GA. It happened with Big Shots and 6 Degrees. Maybe with the new s/ls of 30something singles I’ll be wrong, but I think that time slot is the position for failure, because no matter how successful the show, the numbers look bleak in comparison to the UB and GA time slot, and it competes with ER. I think PD is a lost cause. Bryan Fuller doesn’t seem to need the long term, and I imagine has something lined up or in the making already. Just speculating based off former shows like Wonderfalls, Dead LIke Me, Heroes (first season). Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
