Days Casting Bloodbath Makes New York Post and Perez Hilton

Ken Corday's head scratcher of the soap millenium decision to gut his two biggest stars, while seemingly courting ever actor from Passions, even the chimp, has the mainstream press taking notice. Notorious gossip blogger Perez Hilton posted about the firings of Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn and the New York Post also weighed in. It seems unlike the late James Reilly, the only time the team of Corday and Dena Higley know how to generate mainstream press is when they make colassal blunders. This thing is gonna get ugly.

Thats why i turn to DC for my soapnews and not the NYTimes.
Soaps ARE dying---there's no reason to try to hide it.
Clearly Days should've been cancelled and not Passions. At least then I'd be happy.

Is there any possibility that this is all just a trick? Like during the "Salem stalker" storyline? It's just so hard to believe that a show could do something this stupid!!

What the hell is wrong with DAYS OF OUR LIVES anyways? Other then being known for their stupidness.This IS what this what the show should now be called DAYS OF OUR BOYCOTT.DAYS OF OUR LIVES is not DAYS OF OUR LIVES without JOHN and MARLENA.I am in anger beyond words over this.BOTH of DEIDRE HALL and DRAKE HORGESYTHE were landmarks to the show.And this is how KEN CORDAY says thank you.He is nothing but a idiot this is a move that is going to kill this here show.Soaps maybe dying but I can think of a few people over at DAYS OF OUR LIVES that I would love to see die a slow painful agonizing death and KEN CORDAY is deffinatly one of them.I am a member of alot of message boards under different aliases and I can tell you that people on those boards are all ready talking about a boycott and I am so joining them.Instead of this here soap being called DAYS OF OUR LIVES it should be retitled DAYS OF OUR END.Because with this happening this show is going down.Yes NBC is obligated to forfill their two year contract but God willing when this show is done in another two years it will be their own damn fault.And I am going to so enjoy watching them fall.And when the day comes when the last show is aired I want front row seats and say THIS ONES FOR YOU BOTH DEIDRE HALL and DRAKE HORGESYTHE.

Actually, Reilly's blunders also made the New York Post. There was a big article about the mass firings during his Salem Serial Killer story in 2003.
And Deidre's been a part of both. The Serial Killer reveal also made it there... Deidre, Deidre, Deidre.
