The saviour of Guiding Light, Grant Aleksander, returns to Springfield to shake things up and help stave off the cancellation of the oldest soap. The gang give their take on what this could mean.
Lucinda's (Elizabeth Hubbard) new love Brian kisses Luke (Van Hansis) and needless to say the gang can't help but feel sorry for poor Noah (Jake Silbermann). The poor boy can't get a break. What is up with Carly and Lily putting aside their rivalry so quickly? It makes no sense but Jamey believes there is a Sex and the City connection. What or what is the point of fake Jennifer?
Word has it that Phoebe is being killed of The Bold and the Beautiful and Luke believes that Phoebe's funeral would provide the perfect time for Rick (Kyle Lowder) to sing opera, to which Jamey has a coronary. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) proved once again that no Logan does sex tease than her. Luke wonders how exactly Donna could confuse Eric and Stephanie (Susan Flannery).
Jillian is doing a happy dance over Erin Sanders leaving the role of Eden while Jamey is fantasizing of Vanessa Marcil in the role. Jeanne Cooper is hitting it out of the park as Marge and Katherine but does the "death" of Katherine really do anything but postpone the battle between Jill and Katherine? The gang talks about the idea of Andrea Evans returning to The Young and the Restless as Amber's mother.
Find out which Days of Our Lives actress Jamey thinks needs acting training wheels and how did Sarah Palin ended up being talked about. The gang discusses whether or not daytime can afford to have young actors and actresses who don't know what they are doing on the front burner when so many soaps are in ratings decline. Nick (Blake Berris) is Trent's killer but why would or should any of us care? Luke is still enjoying Sami (Alison Sweeney) and Rafe (Galen Gering) but the others think that it is just recycling scripts.

I have to agree that Sami and Rafe scenes seem to be just recycling old scripts. This Witness Protection crap got really old, really fast. And I can't stand that Nick is being ruined for a "murder mystery" that no one cares about.
Oh and by the way, EJ and Nicole are horrible together. I have never fast forward through a James Scott scene until now. I don't want and easy chemistry (I personally don't think they have any chemistry). This is not the EJ that his fans fell in love with. This is EJ Lite and it sucks. The mans brains have been removed in order for this whole "relationship" to work. I swear the best scene I have witnessed in weeks was when EJ went off on Nicole in the Police station. I was at home screaming "Punch her!!!!!"
I thought Nicks story was the beginning of an even bigger story with split personalities that Blake would so give justice.
I hope so Tripp.
But I have zero faith in Dena as a writer. That would be an awesome story, and I have no doubt Blake would rock it, but do we have the right writer?
I agree Molly Burnett needs to GO!!!! I am so sick of seeing her everyday. About Sami and Rafe, is it even necessary to have him on the show? Can she take a long maternity leave and come back. I agree with Jamey about Nicole and EJ, I like them a lot. I hope they keep them together. Overall the podcast is as always hilarious, and THE Solution for Days of our lives will be they Need to FIRE DENA HIGLEY.

Eden -.- well i understand why she is there and i didn't hate this actress but whatever, also Jamey she was on the Nick show Zoey 101 probably wishing her costar knew how to keep her pants on so she would still have a job.
The New actress came in the second to last season of Gilmore Girls as Luke's daughter
and i look forward to seeing her again.
Noah needs a 'girl' yea they could have tied her to the canvas a little bit better but hey atleast she is kinda sortof tied as Micheals sister.
@ATWT -- OMG i couldnt stop laughing at the conversation, and i am glad you went to the topic about Luke getting 'some' before he does anything with Noah.
I do have two more quick comments / questions.
#1. What is scenery chewing? you guys keep saying it and i feel dumb because i don't know what that is lol.

Ditto to whatever Jillian and Snowi say. It takes a special person to ruin a character like EJ Wells. Congratulations Dena H - you are that "special" person.
I want to know why Lucinda can only be involved with psychos and creeps now? Can ATWT please bring back John Dixon already!
I also hate that nick killed Trent and that he did it for Melanie of all people - ick!
And sorry guys, but I'm going to have to agree with Jillian, snowi and ang - I don't find EJ and Nicole watchable on any level. They've ruined both characters throwing them together and I find it completely forced and boring to watch them on the screen. I do agree though, that Dena Higley sure hasn't done EJ and Sami any favours. Personally, I think once a week she spins a wheel in her office with pics of characters on it to decide which character she feels like destroying and making unrecognizable that week.

Dena screwed him up but he was already on a down hill sloap for alot of people.

Hogan seemed to have a love/hate relationship with EJ and he practically destroyed him 2 years ago but the "how" is what matters. He made him loathsome, psychotic and arrogant for a period of time. Do you know what Dena has made him: boring, weak and stupid. Fans will always hate and rally against the HS version of EJ but he inspired passion in the fans. This version of EJ inspires nothing except the desire to turn the show off.
That is true, atleast i could HATE EJ when HS was writing, i kinda feel nothing for the dude now.
I LOVED him pre-Dimeraising him lol.
But the thing about being boring, weak and stupid is that can all be fixed and forgotten, 'rapemail' (Humm maybe thats what it should be called? when you blackmail someone into having sex with you, not when you open your mail and are raped....sorry bad joke -.-) is something that alot of fans can't forget easily.
IF EJ was written right i can forgive him a whole lot easier then i can currently, now he just sounds like a baby "Oooh feel bad for me, because I raped Samantha i didn't get to be their for the pregnancy of Johnny, except when i would toss Ali's daddy in the freezer" its just like 'shut up alread'.

I'm going to say what no one else is willing to say.
EJ is like money for DOOL. Just like Jonathan was GL. Meaning, EJ may not be ruining DOOL but the writer's love of the character is. Just like on GL.
In three years, this character has not had one good storyline. Yet, he continues to be the center of the show.
This character ruined Sami. Now this character is ruining Nicole.
No depth, no history but gets more play than all of the vets. Everything fans connect with EJ is not from the character but that he's a Dimera. I've never seen such a freaking thin character.
I'll calling you out, DOOL!

Phillip is back. I won't think about what they will do with it. I'll just celebrate.
I heard that Elani's coming back. I wish it was the old/old one.
He was a amazing character when he was just a rival for Max on the racing ciruct and a love interest for Sami.
Then he became a Dimera, went all evil, then we were supposed to forget he was 'evil' and he did all that sweet stuff with Sami, then Lucas came back and EJ/Sami had that 5 second conversation (which is them 'dealing with the rape') and EJ as a character went to the crapper again.
The entire new guy in town that was a blank board storyline for EJ was a refreshing couple of months, but of course, it had to end.
I think linking him to the Dimera's and making him evil was a great idea. It gave him a bit of Days' history to work with.
But then they ripped that history away from him with rewrites because "fans" screamed that he shouldn't be a bad guy. Then what is he?
Because he's not this good guy they keep forcing down our throat. He was a bad guy, playing good when he came to the show. And that ten second redemption they gave EJ, after torture, rape and murder, just doesn't work.
Now this character has nothing. No past. Not even the past we saw. Because that's been rewritten.
After three years, there's more basic questions about this character than answers.
They should stop trying to do a couple with this character and just make him back evil, Anakin Skywalker style. He could be the new Stephano.
He's a foil not the lead. He's been the lead for three years and nothing's come of it except sucky storytelling.
