Pushing Daisies Stomped, Heroes Rises Again!

The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller is about to sign a two year deal with NBC.  His first order of business, to step back into Heroes and start to bring that back to the ratings juggernaut that it once was.  Fuller was responsible for some of the best episodes of the troubled show’s first season.

Fuller is expected to join ranks with creator Tim Kring once again at episode 20 and for the final three episodes of the season.  Will this bring Heroes back to the heights that it once held?

Now THIS could work! Much like Greg Berlanti being plucked from Everwood’s grave to fix Brothes and Sisters a few years back. At least primetime gets smart writers to fix shows.

Awww, Seaon, I know how you feel. Daisies didn’t do it for me, but I know a lot of y’all loved it. I enjoyed the pilot, but then it just went to bezerk for my tastes. For me to like supernatural stuff it has to soapy, like Heroes or Buffy, where there is still continuing drama. This TV season has not been kind to any of us. My Dirty Sexy Money, your Pushing Daisies. I’m almost afraid to read Variety or Reporter every day!

I think it’s too late for Heroes, at least for me, now that they are killing of Elle. Why couldn’t they have killed off one of the other blondes?

This is not going to make me watch Heroes.

I hope Bryan gets his act together and starts the Pushing Daisies comic book he promised!

They were hot and pretty much one of the only good things left on the show. It’s so sad to look back at how great the show was and see how far it’s fallen.

Once upon a time, I liked Heroes a lot. Now, not so much, and honestly I don’t even think the prospect of having Bryan Fuller back would make want to start watching again. I’ll take my measly thirteen episodes of Pushing Daisies from the ABC Scrooge Network over another season of pointless plots on Heroes.

i don’t understand why everyone is complaining about heroes this year. it’s definitely been better than season two, and the new characters are actually interesting. sure, there are some loose ends that need tying up (kill maya already, ya know?), but i think it’s getting there. frankly, i thought the first few eps this year were a big improvement over season 2, then the middle was kinda mushy, then the eclipse storyline has been fantastic.

i’m hanging in there for this show. after all, the folks in charge are obviously trying to right the ship. unlike GH, which keeps sinking into the craphole, heroes is actually trying to be a better show.

I hope so. I like the show but they do sorta seem like they don’t know what they wanna do right now and I oh so DON’T appreciate them killing off my girl Kristen Bell A.K.A. Elle!

I’m going to miss Pushing Daisies like crazy, but hopefully Bryan can help out Heroes. I’m not expecting much from him for this season though – I mean he’s joining for episode 20. He’s not going to be able to do much in 2 or 3 episodes.

Until next week’s episode, I’m living in denial about Elle and Kristin Bell. I really gotta stop liking doomed bad guy/bad girl couplings, no good ever comes from it -lol!

Crap she’s dead???? oh well, Kirstin Bell needs to have a new series where she is front burner all the time, i am going threw massive veronica mars withdrawls so i need it STAT.

Anyways yea Greg was a good move for Brothers & Sisters (and his connections brought us Amy Abbot back on my screen :) ) and i hope this will Save Heroes, but i don’t really know if NBC will give it the time it needs because really i am almost ‘over’ Heroes, its becoming a show i watch but don’t care about like Prison break.
