HomeTVGeneral HospitalOne Can Dream, Can’t They? Luke Kerr December 16, 2008 General Hospital 13 Comments Oh memory lane, what a wondrous path you are. Watching yesterday’s General Hospital I couldn’t help but think how awesome it is that Grant Harrison, er Mark Pinter is on General Hospital, even if it is for an undetermined number of episodes. Oh the memories of one of my favorite Another World villains. How is it that Pinter doesn’t have a contract role on a soap? He was bad ass as Grant, heartless as Roger Smythe on All My Children and his wife Colleen Zenk Pinter is on As the World Turns as the rarely seen Barbara Ryan. Which got me thinking. Nancy Lee Grahn’s Alexis Davis needs a viable love interest. Imagine if General Hospital kept Pinter around and paired his character with Alexis? Not only would these two dynamic actors be chemistry laden, but Alexis would finally have a love interest that wasn’t a member of the mob, brother of the mobster or a international rogue mobster. Then imagine if Wally Kurth were to return as Ned and General Hospital fans were treated to a triangle? Granted, this assumes that General Hospital knew how to write a good triangle. Well even if this is all a figment of my imagination, which it is, one can dream can’t they? Would you enjoy an Alexis/Agent Raynar paring? One Can Dream, Can't They? No! I don't need to see Alexis in a romantic storyline. (5%, 22 Votes) Oooooh, Alexis in a triangle, imagine the possiblities. (27%, 114 Votes) Yes! I'd love to see Alexis and Agent Raynar. You know the problem with all the women on GH? They are pretty much all linked to Sonny. I was thinking about it – there really isn’t one potential lady for someone like Mac because they have all been tainted by Sonny. I suppose Monica and Alice haven’t slept with him, but who knows. Alexis is tainted too. Eventually it would come down to the fact that Sonny fathered a child of hers and he will always ruin these relationships. That is why Olivia is no good for any of the guys currently on the canvas or future canvas because she is tainted. I guess Elizabeth hasn’t slept with him yet and she already has two children and two different fathers so I suppose she could be a potential love interest. It’s like an outbreak or something. I love Maurice Bendard and his portrayal of Sonny, but it’s a bit much how many women he has bedded in Port Charles. Log in to Reply HockeyGurL December 16, 2008 I will see how long until CARLY has her claws in him since she likes to bed hop and she does have 2 children with two different fathers. }:) Log in to Reply dmfj December 16, 2008 Mark Pinter is on GH? Guess I should pay better attention. He should be on contract somewhere. Log in to Reply season1217 December 16, 2008 I’m still never giving up on Nancy joining Y&R as a love interest for Jack! Never! Log in to Reply J Bernard Jones December 16, 2008 Well, my guess is (and this is ONLY a guess since I don’t really keep up with spoilers) is that Pinter’s FBI agent is really on Anthony Zacharra’s payroll, trying to use Jason to setup Sonny and do a reverse takedown of Jason. LOL If that were the case, then he would be PERFECT for Alexis, given her track record with men. LOL Personally, I’d love to see Pinter back on ATWT as Brian McColl, re-paired with wife Colleen. Log in to Reply daisyclover1938 December 16, 2008 I absolutely love Mark Pinter (like you Luke, I was a big fan of his when he was on AW). We don’t know much about his character so far, but I don’t care, lol! I’d love to see him paired with NLG/Alexis ********************************** DaisyClover (aka SamBot #1) Log in to Reply engradypind December 16, 2008 Alexis needs some humanizing. She is turning into a cold, hard statue, much like her step-mother Helena Cassadine. A love interest, not mob related with an eligible, sane man who doesn’t have brother issues is just what she needs. I’d like to have Kurtz back. Why can’t they put her with Mac who has a thing for raising other men’s daughters? I’d like to see Alexis and Diane go after the Russians and the Zaccharas through the finances — and win!!!! Enough of the crappy mob guys winning like they are heroes. It wouldn’t bother me a bit to see Trevor and Ric behind bars right along with Anthony and Sonny. Guess it’s too much to ask for to have Jason do the RIGHT thing rather than play the I-owe-Sonny-some-loyalty-for-old-times-sake card. If Jason needs someone to go up against, then have him face off against Tracy who is a snake of another color and just as crooked as her idea of expedience allows. She certainly has no moral high ground to wave from. Contrary to Guza and Frons ideas on how to save the show, I DO NOT BELIEVE GANGSTER AND MOLL LOVE SCENES will do it. All indications are that is the way they are going. I’m already to the point where I don’t go out of my way to watch the show. Gangsters and Molls give me even less reason to be a loyal viewer. Log in to Reply Mrs Adam Carrington December 16, 2008 Luke, there is no point in hoping for a good storyline for Alexis and a law enforcement officer, this is Robert Guza’s ship and util he goes I don’t expect anything good for the characters I actually care about on GH. Log in to Reply Jamey Giddens December 16, 2008 I preferred Dack Rambo’s more dashing, Kennedy-esque version of Grant. Mark was okay, but they basically made him the most ridiculous, cartoony villain since Stefano. Log in to Reply season1217 December 16, 2008 Alexis has always had a cold exterior. She cloaks her insecurity and pain in being an independent woman. Alexis is attracted to the things which repulses her. She can’t be in a functioning relationship. It scares her too much. That’s why she left Ned at the altar. Log in to Reply Jamey Giddens December 16, 2008 Alexis has always had a cold exterior. She cloaks her insecurity and pain in being an independent woman.
