Darin Brooks Lands Spike TV Sitcom

Days of Our Lives hottie Darin Brooks has landed a sitcom gig. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Brooks will play one of the three lead roles in a college football comedy called Blue Mountain State, from one of the writers of The Sarah Silverman Program. Here's hoping the series gets picked up so the talented, young actor won't have to waste any more of his precious youth attempting to make sense of Dena Higley's pisspoor writing for Uncle Max "I Like to Bed My Kin" Brady.

LOL Jamey! I love your assessment of DOOL under the poison pen of DHigley. So true.

Good luck to Darin. He's a nice guy.

Good for DB.

He's grown as an actor in his time on Days, despite being paired with every young woman on the show (Mimi and Abby weren't his nieces, so you knew those romances would never work out!) and being drawn into a storyline that had promise but only managed to inflict Molly Burnett on us unsuspecting viewers.

However, I doubt doing this sitcom would mean his exit from Days, considering cable shows usually have shorter seasons and Spike TV has a dismal record with its original programming.

Anyway, I wish him the best.

Lene91: if it helps, I think putting Max with Chelsea is probably the viable romance he has ever had; and the actors are good together. No harm intended, OK? Wink
