DC #334: ABC Stripper With A Heart of Gold

very interesting podcast. I don't watch GH, so have no comment there.

One Life- I will miss Kamar De Los Reyes. I'm a big fan of the Vega family, and I enjoy nearly all of Antonio's connections with the other characters.

It should be interesting to see Scott Clifton

As for AMC- the day Jake insulted Amanda, part of the show was pre empted here, and it wasn't clear why Jake was there- but it was my understanding, based on a recap I read, that he went there to drink, because of his talk with Taylor. it wasn't clear he went there for Amanda. I don't know where the insults came from, it seemed odd, but as a JR fan, even though Amanda didn't deserve it, I was glad JR defended her. I didn't really like Jake with Amanda, and I do enjoy Jake/Taylor. If Amanda wasn't plotting with David, I could even entertain JR and Amanda again, but now there's no rooting value there for me.

I agree though, for some reason this show isn't invested in allowing things to happen organically. After watching Greenlee with Jake, he actually made me like her for 5 minutes.

As for David, I used to enjoy this character so much back in the day. I still think he's swoonworthy, but he's got no depth right now, I don't think. It's just evil plotting toward someone who doesn't deserve it, and throwing KWAK in there with DAvid happened much too quickly for me. DAvid barely knew Babe, Babe hated him, and as Tad was more of a father to Babe than DAvid was, having KWAK feel DAvid is the only one who can understand is too contrived for me. There's just too much David for my taste anyway, he seems to be taking over the show, much like McTavish's Babe did, and DAvid isn't even an original Pratt creation.

I agree that Jake's comments to Amanda were not called for.He came off like a petty disrespectful jerk.I'enjoyed JR slugging him.

I love David and still find him interesting but I wish he had more depth as well. He used to seem more human and multidimensional. I hope he doesn't turn into a one not villian instead of the complex characte he should be. Back when Bianca was raped David was still a bad guy in many ways but he still had a lot of depth and heart. Most of the layers that David has now are coming from Vincent Irizzary not the writers.

I was wondering if you guys coud talk about Reese/Zach and Bianca in one of your future podcasts. It seems to me and many people on the boards that TPTB aren't telling the groundreaking lesbian love story they claim they are. Based on what I've seen on my screen it seems like Reese may be attracted to Zach and might make a move on him. I like TB and think she's doing a good job in her scenes with ER but its becoming more clear that Reese is another one of Bianca's sexually ambiguous, maybe even straight love interests. She's spent more screentime with Zach than Bianca. I'd like to hear what you all think of this story.

I DONT WANT NATALIA BACK!!! I hated Emily and a new character I sure dont think I would like either. I cheered when she died and now im going to have to see her annoying face again.

"aging lothario" - Ouch! Belinda you're messing with my David, LOL! The writing hasn't been terrific for him since he came back, the dialogue in particular has been awkward at times, but I looove me some VI

btw, I could be wrong, but I can't imagine OLTL pairing two newbies (BC and CH). I don't think new characters need to be related to already existing characters, but if they're not then they need to develop strong ties quickly (like they did with Spin on GH), and I think pairing them together would work against them. jmo

I think that GH is a joke and bringing Natalia back as someone else instead of resurrected Emily back and bringing the dark side of Emily that Helena's involvement. I also think the writers are ruining Sonny and Kate as characters to push a plot to make me not root for both of them. I hate the writers that the show is ruining the essence of what we love about Gh and I wish that a Christmas miracle would happen to get new writers for next year.

Antonio is leaving is great because I don't think he his character is not likable anymore and he and Cris can go. I am loving Brody and Jess because it is a fresh romance and hope the show take it slow.

Amc is going OK, but I hope that Pratt still is doing good with the show.

I forgot about Vanessa and Lola on One Life- why are they still there? I guess with Justis/Sarah being let go, this will be Christian's new story. As if we didn't know who left that note under Christian's door? lol

Perhaps A Martinez's Roy will come back and save the day. I would much prefer he return to canvas on contract and get rid of the other two.

One Life to Live:

I absolutely agree with you all, not impressed with the newly characters of Lola and Vanessa as well. They should have kept Andrea and Tina Lord in the storyline, instead. Tina is an important character and a core of One Life To Live, as well as the enjoyment of seeing Andrea onscreen. I'm hoping Andrea and Tina return immediately on the show, because they extremely light up the storyline and the show. Most definitely, would love to watch Andrea's Tina in a rivalry with Blair, as well as a comical pairing with the real David Vickers.

Ahh, please no more newbies on the show. Enough is enough. I'll only accept newbies if they are either part of the Lord, Wolek, or Buchanan Family. They should have casted the role of Tina Lord's son, CJ instead.

General Hospital:

Yeah, I agree, they should bring back more veterans on the show. I really missed the classic characters of Felicia, Laura, Lucy, and the list goes on....Please enough with the mobs, and give us back the real General Hospital.
