Can you hear me god? Log in to Reply eightiesaddict January 21, 2009 It is amazing to me that ABC has neglected to put their best soap online: OLTL. I guess I will have to keep watching the show daily on You Tube. The quailty of this show puts all other daytime (besides Y&R) to shame. Blair and John are too hot!! This is also the first time I have ever enjoyed John on OLTL. Finally, he is showing a sense of humor and actually smiling. I love Marty with Wes, Marty with John, or Marty with Todd. I am crazy about Susan Haskell. She is giving the performance of her career. I race home every day to tune into this glorious soap that has revitalized my faith in daytime. I watched GH for over 20 years, and ended up tuning out because of the endless mob storylines. I used to love Sonny and Jason but enough was enough. Give me Holly and Robert, or Luke and Laura and I will tune back in daily. I would even settle for Liz and Jason, but that is not in the cards thanks to Frons. How many years can this mob mess continue. I think it started in 1992 or 1993. Without Brenda what is the point! GH move on to other things pronto. I missed Jamey on the podcast, his soap knowledge and caustic wit cannot be duplicated. Great job Luke, Belinda, Regan and Tina! Log in to Reply n69n January 21, 2009 yeah, i feel cheated that we didnt get to hear Jamey talk about the blowjob & “whats a clitoris?”! otherwise, another great episode! Belinda’s views on the shows, & her attitude of “if they bring it, i’ll have their back” is very close to my own! i am always looking for something to LOVE or at least LIKE about the shows (actually, about everything in life), not looking for “whats wrong”. http://www.nornsisland.com Log in to Reply Courtney fan4life January 21, 2009 Wes looks like Marty’s son. I think people would just put anyone with Marty if it gets her away from todd. But so far i only see SH having chemsitry with TSJ WHO DESERVED A NOMINATION! ME are you kidding me. Like Luke said all he did was stare and be grumpy. And all his character did was screw the crap out of Blair. Log in to Reply EricasEvilTwin January 21, 2009 I am enjoying Wes, though I wonder if he didnt just put the gun in the Iraqi kids hand but maybe something more – like he was the one that pulled the trigger not Brody. I also wonder if they are waiting to see if TK stays on AMC. If not, lets bring Kevin back for Marty and bring Cassie back for a good triangle. ************************************************* Ditch the bitch, Save the World….Exterminate the Lizard. I am a huge Todd fan and love him for the villain he is, but right now I can’t even look at him without flinching and I also want him to suffer a lot more for what he has done to Marty and his family, that is the power if TSJ’s performance and his snub by the Emmys in the pre-nominations just proves how redundant the Emmy system is. With regard to the rumour that Wes not Brody shot the Iraqi child, I hope RC doesn’t go there. I think the writers should leave it as it is, it adds an added dimension and vulnerability to Brody’s character and it doesn’t necessarily make him a bad guy. I consider it an accident of war and it doesn’t make him a murderer because things like this do happen for real in the theatre of war. GH and AMC should take a page out of OLTL’s bible and create a balance in their writing i.e. heart wrenching drama with wonderful humour and while I would like to agree with Belinda and give GH a chance, I don’t think I could go back to GH until Sonny is dead and the mob and all the show’s wasted opportunities are buried with him. Log in to Reply siomonstuart2003 January 21, 2009 GH is a big mess right now and the only way that show can come back is to get rid of Guza and get someone to give back the old GH. OLTL is the perfect blend of drama and humor that I loving right now and I just wish that Ron get rid of Cris, the horrible Montez family and bring another Hispanic family that audiences will like. AMC is a bad soap, but getting rid of JC is a great start in the right direction. siomonstuart2003 Log in to Reply EleahluvsTad January 21, 2009 What are the prenoms for amc? Just wondering….. And I dont think amc is a bad soap (to the person above)….I watch all through and amc has been slowly improving….the writing has gotten much better. OLTL is written better, but my favorite characters still remain on amc. GH is fun when you want to watch nonstop action mob versus mob….but amc is improving in writing and it features the hospital a whole lot more than the soap that has the word hospital in it… Log in to Reply luverica January 21, 2009 I haven’t listened to the last few ABC podcasts for reasons I won’t get into but it was nice to see AMC get some love rather than what I consider the nitpicky criticism it has been getting. Is it ready to be put on the same level as the fairly consistent excellence of Y&R and OLTL? Of course not but as I’ve said before, I do believe that Charles Pratt, Jr. is doing a pretty good job. At the very least, he’s doing a hell of a lot better than Eisenstein and McTavish. Log in to Reply elle January 21, 2009 I was only able to listen to the AMC stuff- I’m not enjoying the show right now at all. First, about Josh- I don’t think killing the character gets rid of the mistake. I would have preferred that Josh was killed, after Zach or anyone else, finding out he wasn’t Erica’s son after all. That would have fixed things for me perfectly. This gets the character off canvas for good, but it’s really only a bandaid in terms of fixing one of the most horrible mistake this show has ever made. Adam and David Canary- he actually gave an interview in Soap Opera Digest, for their November issue, last year, when he resigned his contract- he was very self conscious about his lines, but was assured by cast, crew, etc. that he was as good as ever. He shared that he worked out, took care himself to stay in shape, but never mentioned health problems- even the line thing wasn’t associated with health issues, he was just sharing about the doubts of age. I hope this blind item is false as I’d hate to lose this man under any circumstances. about the Amanda story- I’m not an Amanda fan, especially now- I think what she did to JR was deplorable, and she’s so remorseful, she deposited the money. I honestly don’t care about her love life. She and JR did share very interesting scenes, I will agree to that. Regardless of my feelings, I see that Jacob Young and Chrishelle do have chemistry (imo) and they work well together. For some reason I always think RPG looks bored when he’s acting. What bothers me most about this whole thing, is that JR is being written drunk again. I’m most disappionted that Charles Pratt couldn’t think of anything more creative. As I couldn’t listen to the One Life portion- I don’t know everyone else’s opinion, but TSJ is fabulous to me, and I love Mark Lawson as Brody. Love him. and his character has finally made me like Jessica again. Log in to Reply podcastjunkie January 21, 2009 Big Tyme thanks to Regan for saying on the podcast concerning this G.H. storyline that we’ve already had one!! Thanks Regan. I was going crazy just thinking that I was the only one noticing! We’ve done the virus thing already!! Thanks for stating that fact!! Not only that but the count backwards from the end to the beginning I believe also was done with the metrocourt! Repeating yourself much G.H.?? Log in to Reply Regan Cellura January 23, 2009 Repeating themselves and not doing it any better then they already did… in fact, this time around is quite boring IMO. Log in to Reply tonyjets02 January 24, 2009 OLTL is cuckoo again and needs to pay a visit to Saint Ann’s. The David Vickeroshi storyline is just plain silliness just like the 1968 storyline. It’s a big ball of cheese. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
