Vanessa Marcil "Trying To Make It Work Again"

Lord do not get Frons and Guza all hyped to break out their pom-poms!

As much as I like Vanessa, the only way that I'd accept Brenda back is if they got rid of Sam, Clawdia, Oliva, Looloo, and Kate. Also, they would need to give Liz a front & center story with Jason which did not include all the angst, let them be happy.

GH can't write character driven stories for the women already under contract, WHY, would they bring Vanessa on board? SBJ was suppose to increase ratings, didn't happen, all of the MOB stuff was suppose to raise ratings, killing off core veterans, redeeming Sam when it wasn't necessary, no increase in ratings. If Vanessa comes back, I fear Liz will end up on the North Pole...and they will plunk Brenda with Jason, which means no LIASON at all!

I would like them to bring Vanessa back as long as they put her with Jax ad not Sonny. Then give Jason & Liz their story front and center too. Liason forever!!!!

Oh joy of JOYS, please bring the REAL Brenda back and discard that pleather imitation!

They really don't need her back. Just some better writing.

I for one am sick of all the pandering to Vanessa Marcil. I don't think they really need Brenda on the canvas. Rather than spending money on the big "get" they need better writing. That would bring me back to GH in a big way, rather than just casually.

I am torn because I love Vanessa, but I don't want her on this horrible, misogynistic, violent filled of a soap. I hope that the people are realizing that we want a new headwriter and a new boss of ABC to save the soap from cancellation.

Well, it ain't like 'Las Vegas' was some high piece of art. But I tend to agree with sweetiepie -- I could care less if she came back.

I would love for the real Brenda to return and to get rid of the fake Brenda that is known as Sam McCall!

Vanessa Marcil is the only soap actor/actress currently not on a soap for any network that could immediately boost and sustain ratings. Her fan base is most loyal and I for one would watch GH every single day again, so please make it happen Frons

I agree with this, too. I loved that triangle during the 90's but for the love of GOD, let's not go there again. I hate Sonny with a passion, today. Jax would be ok if he got away from CuJo Carly but he's still far from the Jax I fell in love with. VM should have made an appearance on Night Shift to be there for Robin.

SIDENOTE: I have erased all traces of VM's '02 return from my mind except for the Amazing Grace Montage and the Brenda/Jason wedding.

I would love to see her back and maybe less of Sam but the only problem is that Guza/Frons/Phelps would screw up the whole storyline so in my opinion, don't bring her back because we would end up not liking her after the 3 musketteers got hold of her.

Just bring back Liason and make us all happy pleaseeeee.

I absolutely adore Brenda and would love to have her back but it would most likely be for only a short stay. They would feel the need to revisit Brenda with Sonny, Brenda with Jax, and Brenda with Jason. They would put all of the current plots on hold until her short term contract was over and the story would make even less sense than it does now. It would limit the screentime of every female on the show which would be wonderful for giving us all a Sham break and some Claudialess days but I would miss Robin, Liz, and even Kate. We might get to see the Q's so that would be nice.

I love Brenda, I would welcome VM back with open arms. One of the best triangles of the 90's was Sonny/Brenda/Jax, written by Guza. I remember those comercials for the show Alias during it's second season that use to go, we have a triangle on this show just as hot as Sonny/Brenda/Jax on GH. No prime time show would ever do that now, at least not on ABC.

If VM came back I would like to see her involved with Jax and Carly, because no matter what Jax says to Carly, Brenda is his one true love. Sonny can stay with Claudia, god help me, love those two together. I was a huge Sonny/Brenda fan back in the day. Plus, Brenda getting to know Robin and her family, good stuff. Brenda and Robin did have such a great friendship. It makes no sense that Jax never sees Robin or says hi to her, because he grew to love her because of Brenda.

Just wanted to add, to the good old days of Brenda, the good days of Wendy Riche when she was EP. She wouldn't put up with any of this, nope. Guza wrote some of his best stuff under her reign. She always showed up at fan events, spoke to her myself twice back in the day when I went to those things.
