DC #366: ABC Serial Killers

I loved Patrick and Blair on One Life. I felt so bad when their baby boy died and Todd burst into the room demanding the umbilical chord because Starr was sick, she had the cancer that every kid on soaps have, same as Lulu. The fight Todd and Patrick had, Blair begging Patrick to help Starr because she was the only child she had left. Blair was so good, heart breaking in those scenes. Especialy then because Tea helped Todd win full custody of Starr, plus married him, Blair was forbidden to see her. That was so freaking sad. Marty was back at Patrick side. Didn't Blair have an acident, that's how they wrote her off on maternity leave. Man, when she came back with those crutches demanding Starr back, and pushed Tea out that window, Blair was so awesome.

David should be Asa's son, period. What a freaking waste of years on this story. Total utter waste.

I don't want to sound like a bitch, but I just don't like Claire Coffee and I especially don't like Nadine. Lot's of luck to her so she can stay away from GH.

Please Maxie, don't go. We need Maxie and Johnny.

I just don't see what the freak out is about new hospital sets, really? I have faith GH will get out of the slump it's in.

AMC is good in some areas, I do agree that I'm not liking Crystal becoming a Dixie clone. GH, well if they rebuild that show and bring it back to what it once was, about the hospital, I just might watch it again. I am going to try and watch Maxie's dream sequence eposode. OLTL, I'm jumping for joy over Vannesa leaving. No comment yet on Stacey, and maybe killing off non-story characters is their way of bringing Patrick back.

I hate Zach. He always wins. He has 0 emotion and always has a storyline formed around him. THe Satin SLayer was sopost to be about Kendall being strong and wanting to find her friends killer instead shes Zachs bitch and no longer cares about her friends just Zach!! I hated him since day !!!!

Dont have him on OLTL he would be John 2.0 Boring ass character taking up to much time.
John and Marty have no chemsitry at all yet they are still forced down our throats. They did not have a great love. They had a one night stand darts. SH only has chemistry with TSJ

And yea I sadly the "REAL" Greenlee is not dead I read it in SID. Greenlee sucks and Rylee sucks!

Love CC and Nadine. You get rid of an amazing actress like CC for I'm sad to say bad actress like NL. FakeEM is horribale! Maxie cant leave I want Spixie!!

I only watch this show for spixie since nadine is gone.

Not a Zach fan at all-don't see what all the comotion is about with him! He was better as Patrick, so let him go back to OLTL
Maxie should be recast with the one who played her before-she was more lowkey and believable.

RE: the David Vickers' paternity reveal...I don't think the fact Bo is David's father has anything to do with Rex's 1968 storyline. I think Bo was always David's dad--he got drunk before he went to Vietnam and slept with Emma, and doesn't remember it (just as he and Nora got drunk the other night and didn't remember how they wound up slumped on the couch together). Rex's actions in 1968 simply mirrored Bo's actions in the actual 1968.

I hope Zach squashes Ryass like a bug. If TK decides to leave, then yes, I want him back at OLTL (esp. since that means John wouldnt be with Marty) but I prefer him on AMC. AMC needs him more and I totally disagree that he "eats the shows" he is on.

Loved Patrick with Blair, but now I want Blair with John all the way. Its time for Blair to come out on top!

I really love your podcasts. You all are entertaining on a consistent basis unlike the soap I am watching. I am very disappointed with the direction of OLTL (I have stopped watching GH because of the horrible decision to fire Stuart Damon)

OLTL builds these stories up, only to have the resolution and subsequent consequences fall flat.Some of the shows problems for me include:

David's paternity --Asa! no Bo! Rex! Science fiction is best left to those who specialize in this field and not on this show. David should NOT be a Buchanan--the character is better served as a grifter whose main connection is his partner in crime, which leads to problem number two.

Dorian and David's love story --the actors did a brilliant job showing that these two characters were in love and soulmates despite the overlong Buddha nonsense. Now, after a Texas-sized two step with David's daddies, David will dump Dorian (an educated guess here)and skip town again. OLTL wants me to invest in a love story, only to have D&D ripped apart so quickly and unnecessarily? I think it stinks because I hated David after he left Dorian at the alter and then married her sister. (which was crappy on the part of Addie, as well) It took the amazing chemistry of these two actors to sell me on this couple again, I will not watch round three only to have Dorian hurt again.

Too much camp.

Moe give Dorian her house back, now!!!!!!!!!In a previous podcast someone asked about Dorian's rivalry with the Buch's. She really does not have one. When Clint came to town, she had an affair with Clint (losing to Vickie), accepted an illegal campaign contribution to then husband Herb Callison's campaign for governor from Asa, she worked with Asa, she slept with Joey, and Clint again. This is purely a plot device and a stupid one at that. Her rivalry is with Vickie and Vickie only!!

I agree with Jamey, gut them Mr. Stabby starting with Noelle, Moe, and Lola.

If Thorsten Kaye comes back to One Life, I'm not to worried about him eating the show, they have a different EP. AMC and PC had the same EP and that's how he got his job at AMC. After hearing all the crap that went on backstage on PC, which I won't gossip about because I was told that in confidence, I just don't see him getting his way or being that big on One Life. Of course, I could be wrong.

Loved the show, as always. It'ds my absolue favourite podcast. ^_^
I know I'm probably the only one who feels this way, but I'd love to see a Rebecca Budig return to AMC.
She's definitly not on the same level as Andrea Evans or anyone of that era, but I see the makings of that in her, and I don't think there are many people who could carry of Greenlee as well as she can, espically not Sabine Singh.
I loved OLTL as usual, everything was great, but espically anything involving David. I think it would be interesting to have him be Bo's son but it would great for him to be Asa's son as well. It doesn't really matter to me what direction they take this storyline in, as long as we get more David!

Regarding the whole Bo/David father/son thing... in the 1968 storyline (which was horrible, in my opinion...), Bo/Rex in Bo's body was on his way to 'nam. Now, I'm a youngin', and I'm too lazy to look up the age people needed to be in order to enlist back then. But we'll go with AT least 16 for the sake of arguments. That means that Bo had to be at least 16, if not 18, when David was conceived. I believe it was Jamey who wondered if Bo was even old enough to be David's dad, which he is.

And, some real life factoid just for fun: Bob Woods is 18 years older than Tuc Watkins.

I looked THAT up on wiki instead of the enlist age thing. Why go to wikipedia for non trivial knowledge, after all...

I love your podcasts! You all make such great (& hilarious points) Like Jamey, GH WAS my number one passion, but now I can't even bear to watch it, without my beloved LIASON. I enjoy the abc podcast so much more than I am enjoying any of the shows.

AMC....you are right on about Eden R. Binx needed to be front & center instead of everyone else's accessories. And, gee, couldn't they have let Ryan leap off another cliff to be with Greenlee. I hated what they did to Sabine Singh. I liked her so much better than RB. What a slap in the face to her with that "real Greenlee" crap.

OLTL.....honestly have not watched for a long time. I like Thorsten Kaye as Patrick with Marty back in the day. I keep hearing how good it has gotten, but I'm too afraid of being sucked back in. I remember watching that soap the 1st day it started.

GH..... Oh, gawd, where do I even begin. I just have to say, I'm no longer watching, but keeping up with any recaps, holding out some hope that tptb will wise up. I am voting with my remote. I only see 3 things happening:

1) People stop watching, the ratings tank (YAY) , maybe someone will care?

2) Frons stops meddling & let's Guza do his thing--as long as Guza stops d!cking around with the stories, GH History, GH Character's Histories, stops throwing fanbases crumbs, quits ALL the angst--ALL the time, & actually writes a GOOD storyline involving all the cast (and, OK, I get my LIASON back) --but then wouldn't that be in some bizzaro alternate universe for that to happen???

3) The best scenario....Frons & Guza are both fired... and Sri Rao takes over as head writer. JMHO
