GL's Crystal Chappell "Totally Open" to Otalia

When it comes to whether or not Guiding Light's long term hetero-homewrecker Olivia Lewis (Crystal Chappell) should stop being strictly dickly and embark on a romance with her roommate/Gal Friday Natalia (Jessica Leccia), the ravishing Chappell told TV Guide's Michael Logan she's "totally open for it", but what she wants most for Liv is love.

"What I want to see happen is a good love story–love having a very broad definition. This is a relationshio with true tenderness and intimacy, and we don't see a lot of that these days. Whether it turns romantic or sexual is not important to me right now. But, wherever it goes, I'm totally open for it."

Check out the rest of Logan's weekly soap coverage in this week's TV Guide on newstands now.

She's wonderful and very friendly...one of the only GL cast members to ever send me a full blown autographed picture with a very sincere note. I love the fact that GL is finally doing a gay storyline...it's about bloody time after all it's 2009 and everyone is either related too or knows someone that is openly gay!!!!! Everyone needs a gay friend for sure......thank god those closet doors are staring to open in springfield.

As a long time Days of our Lives viewer, I remember her as Dr. Carley Manning 1990-93. Although she was not quite 25 when she arrived in Salem, she was a great romantic heroine paired with Bo in the days after Hope "died" and she was the next love interest for a little while. That was back when story and actor combine to make the audience want Bo to fall for Carley. That's all you can ask for.
On GL she is still beautiful even with the unforgiving production technique and still manages to have soap charisma. I have to admit I am wondering which way they will go with this.
