Anatomy of Grady Foley's Death

The long awaited day of Grady Foley's (Kane Manera) death finally arrived and oh what a pleasure it was to watch. Several times throughout today's episode Beth (Beth Chamberlin), Phillip (Grant Aleksander) and Mindy (Krista Tesreau) told each other that "this was a new beginning." I couldn't help but wonder if the dialogue had more to do with the death of Grady and less about their high school reunion. Whichever may be the case, if Grady some how survived being shoved off the cliff then someone should run a DNA test on him to find out if he's really one of General Hospital's Cassadines.

Oh, and how great was it to have the cell phone ringing in the middle of nowhere? To bad Grady and Daisy hadn't been bungee jumping and the rope broke.

GL, this episode was it!
When Phillip threw that son of a bitch off that cliff, I rejoiced. Isn't it funny that this was thirst time that we have seen Springfield after dark since the new production started? The camera was a little fzzy, but I liked it.

OMG The soap opera Gods have come from the heavens above to save this show and it's a workin!!!!!! I'm running for the DVR right now. I can't wait to see this...I hope he's gone for good....I've never been more excited about a death ever on this show...and I'm a 26 year veteran. I've never seen a daytime drama turn itself around so fast, but this is really a HOT show right now...I've never seen anything like it on daytime...I'm so excited.

I loved Phillip throwing that imbecile off the cliff. I don't think I've ever hated a character more than him. Did Grady seriously think he was going to threaten Phillip Spaulding's daughter and get away with it? Again GL is not wasting a character's death. The aftermath should be great drama from Buzz trying to find another way to nail Alan and Phillip dealing with killing someone. He's trying to prove to Springfield and himself that he's better and one of the first things he does when returning is kill someone. Not that I care or think he ddn't deserve what was coming to him because I hated Grady, but it could give Phillip some internal conflict. He may feel too guilty to keep it to himself.

The only thing I'm afraid of is watchng Bonnie Dennison tryng to cry and remember lines at the same time and Caitlyn Van Zandt sobbing and yelling about her secret love for this moron.

So are we really sure that Grady is dead? Because until I see his bony little body on a slab, I'm not sure I'm buying it -- not yet anyway...

I don't think Grady's dead. I certainly want to see him go, one way or another, but Roger Thorpe survived a cliff dive. So did Jonathan.

I thought this episode was very good, with a few exceptions. On a good day, GL comes closer to being a strong episode (not just a few strong scenes) than any other soap on the air now.

I also liked the nighttime camera work. The use of outdoor footage is getting better and better.

Kane Manera is sexy as hell although his character may be a creep. I find Mr. Manera one fine piece of ***. Hey Mr. Manera can I give you a lick to clean up all your wound from Philip Spaulding?

"Roger Thorpe survived a cliff dive. So did Jonathan."

The only GL character who didn't survive a fall from a cliff is Sandy, and who knows if he's really dead! LOL. And didn't Danny have a cousin who was in love with Michelle and he, too, fell off a cliff?

What a excellent episode...the only flaw I saw was during Phillip & Beths dance scene which should have included their signature prom song "Truly" by Lionel Ritchie... I was so looking forward to them dancing to that song...but some one in the continuity department wasn't researching Phillip & Beth's past very well. I still loved the episode, but that was a very big flaw for those of us that remember what that song meant to them.

I love that Philip drop kicked Grady off a cliff and then went back to the reunion. He's gangsta like that.

As far as the show not using Beth and Philip's song, it may have cost them to much money to get permission to use it.

I am enjoying this show so much right now. I watch both GH and GL and GH can't hold a candle to GL at this point. Too bad alot of fans that have left are missing this because this show is just not to be missed right now! Both the writing and the acting is so good. I am enjoying Phillip alot more this time around. I don't want him to be nuts I want him strong like he is right now. I can't wait to see what he will do to Alan and Dinah for thier roles in this.

GL has been amazing this week. It is the soap I race home to watch, and when it is over, I can't wait until the next episode.
