ATWT:

Heaven knows why Chauntee left but I know that Grayson McCouch expressed an interest in a Dusty/Bonnie/Derek triangle. Maybe that's why she's being recast instead of mercifully put out to pasture. Quest

That "bust a nut" comment about Brad was hysterical. I am not really feeling that storyline at all and the spoilers don't help.

The past two weeks have been ok but the show still has a very long way to go regarding the writing. Bringing back Hope Dixon is interesting but it's not like Jade isn't a member of a core family. She is. The problem for her is the writing. TPTB don't seem to know what to do with her but that's an issue for a lot of the characters. If CBS is trying to keep diversity on their shows a priority due to a mandate, then they should try consistently writing for the Black characters they already have (I only watch ATWT and Y & R ... neither are using their minority characters well at all but at least on Y & R they are visible Glasses whereas ATWT only brings Jade out to tear her down to prop up Alison. What was the point of making Derek her father then having him disappear?) instead of bring in characters then making them M.I.A. for weeks at a time. When was the last time Derek was on cause I don't think they've had to recast that role yet? And the character of Dallas has become a running joke with the frequent casting despite the fact that he's hardly ever on. Stare

I am hoping the return of Damian won't be screwed up.

Days:

Sami does make the show more interesting... and I have never been a Sami fan. She's more tolerable to me now but back in the day when she was ALL. ABOUT. Austin, I couldn't stand her. I like Sami/Rafe, surprisingly, and I like her sparring with EJ. I never liked Lucas nor Sami/Lucas.

I was watching Days when Alison Sweeney first began and she was MUCH worse than the boy they have playing Will now.

And what is going on with Kate? Why are they dressing her like she's 30 years younger than she is? I feel embarrassed for her when I see "KATARINA".

Great podcast!

I agree with Mike that it's really hard to get invested in any storylines on ATWT because they begin and end within a couple of episodes.

I don't think it matters that "Grady" hit his head, if Reva can be carrying around a beach ball under her shirt then Grady can come back. I would love it if GL brought back Rick Hearst as Alan-Michael. He is one of my favorite GH actors and he brings it everytime. Go ahead and get rid of some of the dead weight if that's what it takes to get him back.

Unless they have a good story, I don't think Rick Hearst should come back as AM. The character really took a hit last time. I don't care for Otalia because I hate Natalia. Her and Doris both have always been waste of space characters that should never have been given airtime. I think Jamey was right, Alex would have been a great reveal and I think a Marrah and Olivia pairing would be a lot better for overall story than Natalia/Olivia. There is so much history with Marrah/Olivia/Josh/Jeffrey/Reva it would have tied in better with core characters.

Ive been saying it all a wrote an article on it as to who Y&R needed to bring on. Why not bring on both Amelia Marshall and Renee Jones. Now that would be a sight to see.

I didn't hear anything about Olivia and Natalia blackmailing Doris with her fear of coming out of the closet. Let me make it clear. Two women in the closet blackmailed a woman who was afraid of coming out of the closet with that fact.

Jamey, you crack me up, with you Hello, Kitty comment. I think that GL is getting good and B&B is a bad "Passions" rip off with cheesy dialogue and bad acting. This show is soo off its rocker that Brad should just quit the business, he is burnt out.

Y&R is still good, but the Neil/Tyra/Karen s/l is a bust because Eva can't act and none of the characters are developed right. Get rid of Tyra, Karen and Ana and put Devon with Colleen to help get revenge on Victor. Bring someone who has chemistry with Kristoff ST. John or hook him up with Phyllis or bring Lesli Kay on to hook her with Neil. They would be hot. MAB is doing a great job, but the s/ls will pick up steam again and get people talking.

ATWT is awful and Pissant and Goutman needs to go. Please, P&G save us from the terrible writing for the show. Stop putting NUKE in horrible s/ls and make them a sexy couple like Otalia on GL. Get rid of Meg and Paul and have Barbara and Carly be in business together and have Rosanna get revenge on Craig.

B&B: Please don't hook up DD character with Donna. I take Thorne and Bill than that slut getting her paws on anyone. She needs to leave town and never come back or recast with an actress who to make the character likable. Jennifer is not doing it for me. Break up Bridge forever and Brooke get back to being a professional women like before she try to become Mrs Ridge Forrester. Rick should just give up on Steffy and push her off a cliff. That will make me happy.

Days: This show is just bad. Hackley is a joke of a writer and ruined every character on here. I feel bad for the actors to be saying this stuff and not going, WTF is this mess?

Thank you Jamey for sticking up for character, Lucas. Lucas is not a snore. This guy that they're writing now is not Lucas. I still remember the guy that took over the hospital and made Sami's life a living hell. They've ripped the guts out of that character. He should be in the business storyline instead of this sucky a** storyline with Chloe and Daniel.

ATWT
What can I say. I used to love this show, but even the return of Rosanna won't make me go back. Maybe if it was that Rosanna that took on Carly and caused some great fights... but not the one that left, the one begging and pleading for Paul. Gag me!

GL
I will never buy a gay Olivia. But I could by a bi-Olivia. And I know she is going to royally hurt Natalia in the end. But it is good drama.

I think we don't see much of Josh because the writers don't know how to write him. In general, writers have a tough time writing believable good guys who are not one layered. So they spend more time on layering bad guys.

They don't have a problem writing Buzz as a layered, good guy. I don't care if somebody is just plain the hero, nice guy. I am tired of writers on all these shows insisting that their murdering rapists have reedeming qualities.

I don't mind rapist being redeemable, but the lengths these shows go to to redeem these characters is often just sick, but also quite destructive to the rapist character, but also the victim. This new thing with Olivia breathed life into a character that was not only literally raped, but also beaten to death by the writers who went out of their way to make up for making Jeffery her rapist by making her do everything to hurt him and prop him up. Before Otalia, I gave up on Olivia and GL. As for Jeffery, until he is defined as who the writers defined him as, he'll never be widely accepted. Pairing him with Reva isn't helping him. It is hurting her. She's just a loud mouth to me now due to the insanity she's in with St. Rapist.

Jamey you NASTY BOY!!!! I thought that I would "bust a gut!" Hello Kitty! Lord have mercy!!! You too much but in a very good way!!! I would love to see Rick Hearst come back to gl. I don't see him going back to Y&R. Even, if he does'nt have a great storyline. He can just STAND there and I can just watch him! I won't put down Otalia stuff only because its helping gl. But, it was'nt that long ago when Olivia was chashing Jeffery. She did'nt get him started hunted Gus! (that was stuip!) Then she was gettin on with two guys and Olivia wanted her daughter to come and join in the "fun" Olivia will always be to me a red-blooded women who's NOT looking for a women, but a women who can tell her where she can find a real man!If Ms.Zimmer could get her head out of her a--! Itand get back to the thing that made her an houshold nameJEVA! I'am sick of her running her show! If she wants the show to make it, she certainley does'nt show it! I will agree that Jeffery is'nt making any firends by pairing him with Reva. This is one storyline that should have NEVER been told. Period! I know that the Jeva fans have been kicked in their butts and hearts ripped out by this mess called feva! Its hurting the show and the fans! Someone, needs to say this is the way its going to be and if you don't like it, hit the door!

Everything that happened with Olivia, with Jeffery and partly Gus, that is to me what Olivia's rape is to some people-nonexistant. Two can play that game. Olivia has Otalia and Phillip is back to make her life fairly coherant again. What does or ever has St. Rapist got? A menopausal radioactive baby with nothing more than a loudmouth mother without her entrenched connections she really needs? He certainly doesn't have a good idenity, whether that be because he's a serial raspist and abuser or because the writers won't let that trueness be who he is, instead of this place he's gotten to now. They took too many steps with him forward to move forward (Making him an arrogant, righteous jerk now isn't sufficent to who he is when he's buds with his victim of rape). Olivia can move forward with history behind her and a fresh connection in front of her, because she was a victim in some way. Yeah, St. Rapist could be a victim of bad writing, but that isn't what I mean. Or am I off and rapist are more viable than their victims?

Olivia was written from victim to being in love with her victimizer and that to me is worse than any story Jeffrey has been given. Moving Jeff forward at all validated that his previous actions were a non-issue and that is a win for him. Now Olivia is getting a little more respect.
