Maura West is always excellent but I haven't felt this moved by her since the storyline where she thought she had an inoperable brain tumor (before she found out it wasn't and then went into lying mode to snag Jack from Katie). She was fantastic in her scenes last week. Big smile That was MW's emmy reel right there.

You guys make me want to search youtube for a clip of Drew Tyler Bell "acting". Party Oh, and I agree with you all about Crystal Hunt seeming bored and not bringing any life to Stacey. I really don't care for the character, which is the "right reaction" since it's a love-to-hate character but I don't like her because of the bad writing and lifeless portayal which is the not what I think TPTB were going for. Can't the person who stabbed Blair and killed Wes go after Stacey?

I can't even express how much I love Maura West....she just is awesome....I totally agree with you Luke about her being the best actress in daytime....
Those scenes with Jack after he kicked Parker out were AMAZING...Especially when she got all soft and started to basically whisper her lines...."Where is this family? I'd like to know" ahhhhhh......just awesome....
You guys didn't mention it but Janet (forget the actress'
name) was also really good.....when she told Jack that he broke her heart Sad I felt so bad for her.....

Julie Pinson plays Janet. She's great too!

Luke, I was glad you mentioned the scene of Jack on the porch talking to Hal. I thought Maura West was amazing, but Michael Park just killed me in that scene. He was my performer of the week. Talking about "our boy". I also thought Julie Pinson was great.

OLTL is too dark, but it is great drama. But the show needs to be a little lighter and not too much drama. I do agree that Crystal Hunt is phoning it in, but it is Frons hand all over it and Ron is not writing it the way he wants to. All you mention is great and my favorite couple is Brody and Jess. They are hot and I think that this is the grow up relationship for Jess that is working and I love it. They are taking it slow and hope that they get to know each other and then start a relationship. Hillary B. Smith and Susan Haskell was great and OLTL and Y&R was on fire. The other soaps, tank.

"Crystal Hunt seem[s] bored and not bringing any life to Stacey."

Well, she left GL to be a movie star but that obviously hasn't worked out, although she has been in a handful of films in the past few years.

I think Frons saw a chance to get a CBS soap vet and threw her at OLTL, who was forced to shoehorn her in somehow. It would explain CH sleepwalking through scenes and why Stacy is made of little more than cardboard, rabbit fur and hair dye.

I remember watching Crystal Hunt on Guiding Light. Stacey and Lizzie are the same. I believe that is simply Crystal, no acting involved. That is how she is. She is what she is.

Totally agree with the praise of Maura West. She was phenomenal last week. She's always very good but the emotions were so raw and real. I think prior to this her last meaty material was some of the scenes when Parker shot Sam and her trying to clear him. I also agree though the brain lesion story brought out some terrific scenes from her too that sadly they had to destroy with the ending.

I was happy to hear the mention of Michael Park in the scene where Jack spoke to Hal. That was packed with emotion and so well done. Michael also got to show quite a range of emotion from his rage to tenderness.

They both should remember these scenes for their next Emmy reels. Outstanding work!

Jamey...... This week I am going to be defending myself in regards to the slander that you've brought forth about me and that Marcy Ryland.......... Can't believe you did me like that! *LOL*

I agree with you all about Maura West but my POTW is going to Greg Rikarrt of the Y n R and Gina Tognoni as Dinah on GL and Hilary B. Smith on OLTL! Those were the performances that held my attention all week. I especially got chills in the scenes with Philip and Dinah on the roof. Welcome back, Grant!

OMG I knew when I was watching Drew Tyler Bell "acting" last wk. when he told Taylor that it was him who was going after Rick, I knew Jay was going to have a damn fit lol!

I did not see the gay porno bear hug, but if it was anything like Ron Moss's commercial face that he gives I would've had a good laugh.

Most of the actors on B&B don't deserve any of the mess they are getting and something has to change over there. In front of the camera and behind! This is not the same show that I fell in love w/when I was vacationing in Ghana where I saw Brooke & Ridge hook up when Steph thought Brooke was having an affair w/the pizza guy and it is not the same soap I continued when I came back from vacation where Amber & Rick and the beginning of the Bridget/Brooke/Deacon triangle and when Kristen married her HIV love.

This show is just awful and Brad Bell needs to be ashamed of himself for letting the show get to this point.

Gina Tognoni was fantastic this past week! Glad you gave her a shoutout Mike and Jamey. I loved her confession in front of everyone but I also loved her comedic touches in that scene with Alan at Company. She just absolutely rocks! I would give it to her along with Greg Rikaart yet again. Greg is just astounding me every single day.

I love Julie Pinson, Mike. She's been a breath of fresh air since joining ATWT. What a difference a show makes. I've said that same thing about Austin peck (whom I hated on Days).

Luke, I said I actually felt sorry for Kevin that day, not that I liked him. I will NEVER let myself like him. But I do love Greg Rikaart and he's doing a damn good job of trying to get me to like Kevin. But I won't let him. LOL

And Dinah rocks!

Thanks for the shoutout! Smile

I just had to register just so I could comment on the podcasts because I always listen to them and find them quite entertaining! =D So for this one I would like to say that I agree with all the mentions from OLTL from Hillary B. Smith to Brandon Buddy to Eddie Alderson and everyone involved in the Shane and Matthew storylines. I actually started watching OLTL again since I basically gave up on the trainwreck that is GH around November of last year, and Regan I think you would know why since I've heard you on the podcasts talking about GH, and I agree with you basically all the time LOL Well, hopefully I will comment on the future podcasts now and P.S. to Jamey I think you are hilarious every time I listen to a podcast there is always more then one occasion where I am laughing out loud! =D
