On today's ABC episode of Daytime Confidential Luke, Tina and Regan discuss the latest in All My Children, General Hospital and One Life to Live storylines and news, including:
The debut of Scott Chandler on All My Children. Erica Kane's (Susan Lucci) meltdown along the side of the road and shockingly how good Ryan was. The debut of Jamie Luner is approaching, and with it the return of Jennifer Bassey. Jamey is reporting that Chrishell Stause may be leaving All My Children. What would this mean for the character of Amanda?
General Hospital is about to debut in HD. Is it worth the investment or should they be investing it in better writing? Regan should be happy that Johnny and Lulu have broken up, but is she? Jane Elliot is pulling up Nathan Parsons by the bootstraps in every scene.
Stacy continues to eat One Life to Live alive, but could she have been salvaged if she had been introduced differently? The Gannons return to Llanview at a time when Nora needs them most. Scott Clifton was never a bad actor, but since his arrival in Llanview he's only gotten better.

Why bring back a RECAST Liza when Cady mclain was willing to return! It makes no sense.

Gh needs a complete overhaul back to the days when claire labine was writing this serial.Amc holds a special place in my heart i will watch through good and bad because those characthers our so dear to me.What stinks is there casting Jamie Luner as Liza Colby.I dont get it there asking la lucci and other abc daytimers to take pay cuts and there bringing in new blood.Pratt teased a big return is coming to town hell i thought they were bringing Julia Barr back as brooke english pratthole needs to go.

I'm thisclose to not watching OLTL anymore after Todd "saves the day" by rescuing his daughter and saving John from Zak. I think I'm just about done. And Trevor St. John needs to doing Verizon commericals he's phoning it in so much.

Man the GH hate is major in this podcast. If you guys hate it so much, stop watching. You know the hate is strong when everybody hates new sets and HD formats. GH is my favorite ABC soap, so I was a bit sad with all the hate going on. Geez, it's like it killed your children. I don't think Guza is a hack, he had some great storylines in his run, I think he's burnt out and Frons is up his ass. Ethan needs to go. I hate AMC and loath with a passion the crap that OLTL is.
And Luke, the conference room in my local hospital is right where GH's is. So it is possible.

Hey we're all entitled to our own opinions. For me, GH is seriously lacking. As a longtime fan, I think I've earned the right to complain about it. This is not the GH I love. Yes, Guza has had some great moments. Listen to our Top 5 storylines podcast, I'm pretty sure I gave him props on plenty of his work but what he's producing now is a far cry from what he delivered back then.

Isn't it ironic that Jane Elliot and Scott Clifton are cited one paragraph apart in the Podcast write up, and both are mentioned in the Podcast itself. After the training and mentoring SC must have gotten from JE after playing her son, SC can probably "hold his own" with just about any other "lead" character. JE and SC had wonderful chemistry, and I hope that someday, SC's Dillon comes home to Port Charles before JE's Tracy is no longer there.
Everytime I see SC in the more "adult" role he has on OLTL, all I can think is why didn't GH let SC finally start to play Dillon as an adult instead of basically keeping him a character that was only about two years older than Starr's character? It also would have kept a younger Quartermaine on the canvas. What a missed opportunity...

Scott Clifton brought me back to OLTL. He has been great.
I want REG to come back before Trevor moves on - if indeed that is what he will do. They had a nice chemistry and I still feel slighted by not getting to see anything real happen between Todd and Evangeline.
Trevor worked for me as Todd when he became a bit more kinder and gentler. He is not Roger, and it feels like now they want him to be that version of Todd. I would like to think that after all Todd has been through with the almost execution and Margaret, that he would be a bit different than how he was when RH played the part. And for a time that was what we were seeing, but of late, I feel a regression. I really think that is what many viewers, and perhaps TSJ himself, are reacting to.
