Hey lets correct what I said... I said I HATE Phyllis and Skye. I never said they were the worst characters.*LOL* Please don't message me about how wrong I am because that's my opinion!

Jamey and Melodie and Luke - all I can say is heck yeah!! I was completely emotionally devastated as I was watching Crystal's absolutely stunning performance last week- one of the most heart wrenching scenes I've ever seen in my life. And yes Jamey, you're so right, Otalia is the heart and soul of GL right now - you said it! Absolutely hands down, CC deserves Performer of the Week - I hope she finally gets the career props she deserves.

Mel and Jamey - yay Jessica Leccia for honorable mention - you said it Mel, total breakout actress!! Jamey - yes, she's giving it! And she's not stopping there, today's ep was fantastic too!

I love them both, and am completely glued. Its so thrilling to see what they're doing each day - I'm so addicted to watching them, I'm going to have to enter a 12-step program soon.

Great podcast everyone. You guys are so funny!

Thanks for your support of Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia! Crystal has always been an incredible actress, but this past week she was phenomenal! This past week she gave the performance of a lifetime! Her graveside confession was brilliant! And Jessica Leccia is outstanding! Her gazebo confession was incredible! All this and the best is yet to come!

I have to agree with Melody's picks for Performers of the Week--it was Michelle Stafford of Y&R and Crystal Chappell of Guiding Light for me, hands down.

To sit down last Tuesday and watch Crystal Chappell confess to Gus' grave that she'd broken his heart...and then watch Michelle Stafford breakdown in front of her cheating husband...it was, perhaps, the single most gratifying day I've experienced as a soap fan.

Thank you for recognizing Crystal Chappell for her performances last week!! (GIVE HER THE EMMY NOW!!)
I too was crying a river while watching her scenes last week. Not only was her delivery flawless but the writing could not have been better!

Also, VERY glad to hear praise for Jessica Leccia. A lesser actress would have been overshadowed by Crystal's brilliance. Jessica has risen to the challenge and is quickly becoming and equal partner
in this amazing acting team! Soap supercouple?? OH YEAH!

GL is absolutely "can't miss" t.v.. I hope to see Ellen Wheller recognized for the brilliant drama she is bringing to our television screens!

Thank you Melodie for putting Eva on the dishonorable mention. Keep saying it every week that she is on the show. No one cares about who got custody of that Ana. Y&R get rid of the character of TYRA OR RECAST THE ROLE IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Regan--

No, no no no no no, Don't pick up Y&R! They still can't write a proper black storyline if their life depended on it!

Check out a good, proper, well written, amazing soap like Home and Away or EastEnders or Neighbours! Give the international soaps a little love, and I will totally give you a crash course!

LOL hey i have to try, I know my chances of getting someone hooked are slim, but dang it I will keep trying! lol

Anyways good episode, I dont really know who my PoW is, there were a lot of good performances as well as some deserving a DM.

I do have to say I was not overly impressed with Otalia, I wish i was, i really do, but im not, I thought they were okay, and the scenes were good, but I didn't get the whole PoW performance that everyone else saw.

Loved the podcast.
I think the "legacy" characters and the actors who portray them have to be called out every once in a while. We expect them to be better than the other actors, and when they begin phoning it in, it becomes a frustrating viewing experience quickly. Glad both actresses in the Otalia storyline were mentioned. Though I don't really watch GL, even the promos showed that their performances would be tough to beat. Good for them!

Last week on Guiding Light was a amazing week of entertainment. Crystal Chappell was incandescent! Jessica Leccia is definitely a breakout actress now. Really emotional and suspensful week. Good writing and great performances equal a wonderful show! It makes me look forward to the next GL episode.

Great choices this week!! Crystal was her usual brilliant self and Jessica Leccia an absolute revelation! I was physically spent after watching last week due to the overwhelming emotions that were stirred in me watching these 2 pros at work!! Crystal and Jessica moved me as I have never been moved before by a performance!! There was tears, and a few moments of laughter (”just taking a walk in my big white dress”, “unusual interest in your maid of honor”) and heart stopping angst as we watched them communicate the joy and concerns brought about with these new feelings.. Brilliant acting, writing and producing all around!

RECAST STARR, ICAM Tina! I love you Tina, what I seem to be thinking you say. That little girl is not very good, she never has been, but she hasn't needed to be. Now that they insist on giving her more mature storylines it really shows. Luke really watch this kid in her scenes they are horrible. Jamey what was the name of that horrible girl that took over the role of Belle for like 2 days after Kristen Storm left. That's what I see in Alderson during some of her scenes that pause and hold chest hideous facial express trying to emote crap. And that child opposite her makes it worse Brandon Buddy, ugh those two together kill me. It's just as bad as Hunt & Fath together, only difference is they have a better storyline. I'm calling for them to really kill the kid they think is dead (sorry but I want NO connections between Starr and that worthless Marty and her punk ass kid). Make it Coal's fault steming from his drug habit, he kills himself and Marty just decides to go the hell away never to return.
