TV Guide Canada's Nelson Branco may have recently named Vail Bloom among soap's worst actors, but this week he's seeing improvement, according to the latest Nelson Ratings.
Stop the presses: A week after I named Vail Bloom (Heather) as one of daytime TV’s top hair models, the actress actually showed signs of improvement on today’s Y&R episode on CBS. Bloom even managed to look like she was holding her own opposite the Goliath of acting gods, Eric Braeden (Victor). More stunning was the fact that, for the first time in history, I was on Heather’s side, and not the Mustache’s. If Victor is going to invite his blind son, Adam, to live with him, then he has to allow his friends to visit — especially considering the black sheep is under house arrest.

Adam and Heather are hot together! I'm so happy this show has writers who recognize chemistry and play to their actors' strengths. I hated Heather and Adam both until they put them together last year. Now I find myself rooting for both of them. I'll have to go look outside and see if I see pigs flying now that Nelson has said something positive about VB!

How long has she been on the show now? Almost two years right? I would expect some improvement.
I voted maybe there have been some modest improvements.
She seemed to be a little more relaxed in the scenes at the ranch for Adam's birthday. She could still do much better.

Last summer, when they pair Adam & Heather, I was intrigued. It became quite clear that they were an excellent match -- two outsiders abandoned by their fathers. (More accurately, kept by their mothers away from fathers.) I was so disappointed when Adam went to jail -- thought he was over. CE is outstanding actor who gets lost in the shuffle -- this story is pure genius. VB has certainly become better since she joined. They lessen courtroom scene and amp up the romantic/Victor confrontation stuff.

I've always like Heather and think her and Adam are FANtastic together! One of the hottest couplings ever! I think VB has improved tremendously and the show needs to keep her and give her more storyline with Adam (and having her win a case or two would be nice as well).
