HomeTV36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards36th Annual Daytime Emmy Nomination Totals Luke Kerr May 14, 2009 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, All My Children, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, One Life to Live, Sesame Street, The Bold and the Beautiful, The Young and The Restless 9 Comments All My Children had better watch its back. The gangsters over at Sesame Street aren’t happy at coming in second. They’ve already taken out the Corinthos, Kiriakis and DiMera mob families and now they’ve their sights set on the Pratt Valley Mafia. The 36th Annual Emmy Award organizers should make sure they have tight security or Elmo just might cap Zach Slater’s ass. Log in to Reply FierceBish May 14, 2009 General Hospital can go DIAF! All My Children got 19? for what? im glad Y&R and B&B are there, they show that all soaps are not retarded. Log in to Reply eriklovessoaps May 14, 2009 GL should bitch slap a namination out of Tyra. Log in to Reply wildwoman May 14, 2009 I seriously don’t understand how GL got so few nominations. Were people to distracted by the production model to not accept great acting for what it is? They have some of the best actresses in the business – Crystal Chappell, Gina T. Kim, Marcy, Srsly, Crystal Chappell needs her own category I don’t watch Y&R anymore, but I know everyone raves about it. Seems really odd it wouldn’t be nominated for best drama. I don’t know if I truely understand the nomination process for the emmy, but I’m sure it has its own politics Log in to Reply Christine_in_Wisconsin May 14, 2009 Oprah only got 6 – I wouldn’t be afraid of the Kiriakis/Dimera or Corinthos Mob – I’d be afraid of Oprah coming after the good ‘ol furry folks on the Street. Log in to Reply bizziefan May 15, 2009 GL got the same amount of nominations as the frickin Thanksgiving Day parade — Are you kidding ME?? WTH Log in to Reply RoseVioletDaisy May 15, 2009 Please remember that these nominations are for January 2008 through December 2008 and GL was a complete and utter disaster on an epic scale throughout the whole year and every level. It’s actually a bit of a miracle that they even got 4 noms. Log in to Reply Katiebug9624 May 15, 2009 I’ll agree with you that the writing was bad, and the new production model sucked but the acting was amazing that was not a disaster every horrible storyline that was written for them they delivered it by them I’m talking about Gina Tognoni, Crystal Chappell, and Kim Zimmer nothing against the guys but all three of these women had better storylines than they did and they managed to pull them off.
