Daytime Confidential has received a clearer picture of Chrishell Stause's (Amanda) decision to once again extend her contract with All My Children. According to sources, Stause only re-upped through September.
Daytime Confidential has received a clearer picture of Chrishell Stause's (Amanda) decision to once again extend her contract with All My Children. According to sources, Stause only re-upped through September.
"The show was prepared to recast if she didn't re-sign," says one mole.
Whether or not the beauty will stay after the Fall is anyone's guess, but considering the Jake (Ricky Paull Goldin) and Amanda pairing are one of the few things AMC is doing right these day, I'm crossing my fingers.

No ofensense to the actress but if she's gonna re-sign i say ABC should have asked her for at least a year
she has had now two different 3 month extentions. Its very hard to write long-term story with that.
I was happy to hear that abc has actresses in mind if stause blots this fall.

Come on. This is Chuck Pratt's show. Remember Chuck Pratt who blasted Eden Riegel for leaving after her agreed upon time?
ABC is a multi-billion dollar business. It doesn't deserve any pity when it comes to contract negotiations. ABC and AMC have fired and hired lots of people.

I think that Chrishell, and the character of Amanda, have a lot of potential for long term on AMC. It's a shame it took them so long to write for Amanda and give her character a proper relationship but it is definitely one of the few bright spots on the show at the moment. I've never been all that fond of re-extensions, I generally take a "s*** or get off the pot" kind of attitude. But as Jake and Amanda are one of the few things worth watching, I'll take it and cross my fingers that she sticks around.

I am so happy to hear she's stickin around till Sept-- and I hope even longer then that! But I am also happy to hear should the actress leave they would reconsider a recast. I really like the role of Amanda.
Should she leave I think Erin Hershey Presley of PC would make a great Amanda and I think she would have chem. with RPG

She's the best looking one on the show. as far as her character goes, she is one of those that the writers can build on, (isn't she related to Halley?), maybe one day she'll freak out like her Mom Janet
