In the video preview of the first episode, Auggie (Colin Egglesfield) and Violet (Ashlee Simpson) are shown talking by the pool just after the discovery of a dead body. Auggie says that he met the deceased woman in AA and she inspired him to become a chef.

If the official CW press release which offers a description of the show, here’s what it says about the character of Auggie: “Sydney also played a pivotal role in the career of Auggie Kirkpatrick (Colin Egglesfield). After they met at an AA meeting, she became Auggie’s sponsor and encouraged his dream to become a chef.”

I might watch the first epi just for those two, lets hope this show does not destroy the wonderfule evil, scheming, amoral, trashy legacy these two characters created on the original show.
