It’s a crying shame that As the World Turns didn’t figure out a way to keep her in Oakdale while pulling double duty between the two shows. 5 Responses ATLn30318 June 1, 2009 SVU is just now getting around to having its season finale – June 2 that falls outside of May sweeps. I’m wondering if the delay had anything to do with Hargitay and Meloni’s contract negotiations with the show? I have to say of the three L&O franchises, SVU is the one I like most and watch. As for Tamara Tunie, talk about a career and it must have been hard on her pulling double double duty when she was on ATWT and also on SVU. I caught her on ATWT a few times back in the day. She’s also had a career outside of TV appearing on the big screen in The Devil’s Advocate along side Oscar winner Al Pacino and future Oscar winner Charlize Theron. Alexandria Cabot. There’s been a few others but this one particularly episode had to do with Alex obsessively trying to bring a particularly vile criminal to justice because there was a personal connection or experience of sorts with this man. Stephanie March gave an Emmy worthy performance and endeared me to her character. I’m so glad she’s back. I’ve always been a fan of Tamara Tunie and if any secondary L&O character deserves a story built around them, it’s her.
