OLTL: Marcy and Starr (Photos)

I'm going to miss One Life to Live's Kathy Brier. She has proven herself one of the show's most dynamic actresses, deserving of an Emmy nomination more than once. Any soap would be privileged to have her on their show. Today's scenes between Marcy and Starr were touching and yet oh so fitting, after everything they've gone through together. What did you think of Marcy and Starr's scenes? Will you miss Kathy Brier? I know I will. More photos after the jump.

Yeah, they should of kept Kathy Brier, but I think the writers destroy her after the hostage mess and the taking Sam on the run. But Brian Frons think that she isn't what fans want to see. They want to see a fake, plastic, dumb girl who has no personality or spunk as KB did. No dig on Crystal, but she is not working on here and the show needs to cut its losses, but BF thinks that we don't want to see normal size women on soaps and he is wrong. I wish Kathy nothing but success and hope she returns back to Llanview.

Kathy Brier will be missed. OLTL has always done a good job of finding actors who doesn't look like the run-of-the-mill soap star. Yet these finds (Susan Batten, Roger Howarth, etc.) turn their uniqueness into characters we love. There will never be another Marcy and Kathy needs her credit for helping turn OLTL around because she carried the show for two consective summers.

I will truly miss Kathy. marcie is the kind of character that Agnes Nixon would have created. Hoepfully, her & Michael will get their miracle baby before they leave town.

Marcy, to me, was kind of did what Wanda Wolek (Marilyn Chris) did for the show back in the 70's, 80's and early 90's (until she too was written out). No matter what she looked like, she was a loving, good person, who could act the hell out of a part.

I will miss Kathy (Marcie) as well. I think her scenes with Kristen (Starr) were awesome there. I really felt happy there.

I feel that Marcie should of took the baby because I don't think Starr is ready to be a mother.

Marilyn Chris who played Wanda quit of her own accord in 1994. She was not fired.

Really...I always thought they wrote her out because they didn't have any other direction for her character.

they should have done an open adoption...where marcie adopted the baby but had an open adoption with star....that is relevant to our times...as it is the fastest growing form of domestic adoption.

It was in a dec 93 addition of SOD Marilyn chris she went and talked to then EP Linda Gotlieb about her decision not to renew and the two old broads cried for hours
her words not mine.

Oh that's a sweet quote. I always felt that Linda Gottlieb didn't get enough credit. I thought she did some wonderful things for daytime, like recasting a recast with the original, even though he had plastic surgery to look like somebody else...

Michael's job offer was for a position at Seattle Grace Hospital. It would be fantastic to see Marcie & Michael on (at least)an episode or two of Grey's Anatomy this fall. Smile
