Summer "Days" Promo
Submitted by Jillian Bowe on June 30, 2009 - 9:58pm
Days of Our Lives' really letting fans know that they are still in the soap game with this promo for the summer. How cute is the little guy playing Theo? This may change my tune about the show....

I admit that did look like a fun promo for Days, and IF I was going to watch another soap after GL ends, it would be this one. I think I am a Crystal Chappell fan for life now, and would probably follow her anywhere. While this promo was all sunny and happy Days, it did make me think of Peapack, I mean GL's Springfield. I don't understand why NBC wasn't interested in GL at all. It did start on NBC radio after all. How fitting it would have been for NBC to save it and get back in the soap game a little bit.

Well, that promo sure looked fun. I haven't watched DAYS in 10 years so it's always nice to see some familiar faces. Good for NBC Daytime's PR department for shelling that out.

Joe Mascolo is probably the only 80 year old man I've ever seen hold a rope in his mouth.

At least this year's summer promo featured most of the cast. So in that respect, it was nice to see them being acknowledged on the show. Here's hoping for better DAYS ahead.

As I watched the promo, it occurred to me how few people of color are on Days. Although Rafe popped up early, it was only in the last few seconds that the Carver family appeared. Lexi certainly got more airtime when she was Evil Lexi, trying to deceive Hope about Issac's parentage.

That is the best promo I've watched for any soaps in years.

DOOL has really improved. I enjoy the stories on the show right now and love seeing longtime vets like Suzanne Rogers and John Aniston on a more regular basis. The show has hired some promising young actors and I really hope NBC continues to support the soap and that the PR continues.

Great promo. Hopefully this is a sign of renewed good faith by NBC. Best part of this promo is that it includes the entire cast of the show. I like seeing the vets in the promo especially now that people like Maggie and Victor have been used so much lately. Kudos to DOOL.

HA! Loved Joe Mascolo holding the rope in his teeth at the end, brilliant!! Well, that was a pretty good promo - I liked how all/most of the cast were featured; some more than others of course, but still seemed to have all of them there. Good on Days, I give it the thumbs up

Good job Days promo departmant! Somebody in the promo dep. must be a GL Fan, and has been watching the Bauer BBQ? Lol. But this makes Days look so fun. I wish they would broadcast some outdoor episodes using these cameras. It would be so good!
