DAYS Continues Ratings Surge; AMC and GH Hit New All-Time Lows

Days of Our Lives is still on fire ratings-wise.The soap added 257,000 total viewers over the previous week. NBC's lone sudser is at a 2.1 in the households, only two-tenths of a point below second place soap The Bold and the Beautiful. DAYS went up one-tenth of a ratings point in households and a whopping two-tenths of a point among women 18-49.

However, it's hard out there for an ABC soap executive. Two Mouse House soaps, All My Children and General Hospital, hit new all-time lows in households. Both soaps are at a 1.7 in households— tied at 5th place— below One Life to Live at 1.8. OLTL is tied with its all-time low in households. AMC lost 143,000 total viewers over the previous week. GH lost 34,000 total viewers over the previous week, and OLTL lost 122,000 total viewers over the previous week. AMC hit a new low among women 18-49.GH tied it's all-time low among women 18-49.

It was a slightly happier week for the Tiffany Soaps. The Young and the Restless added 208,000 viewers over the previous week, going up one-tenth of a ratings point among households and women 18-49. Y&R and DAYS are the only two daytime soaps that are up year-to-date. Y&R's sister soap, The Bold and Beautiful went up 75,000 total viewers, and added one-tenth of a ratings points among women 18-49.

As The World Turns hit a new all-time low in total viewers. The soap lost 67,000 total viewers, and is down over 400,000 years-to-date. Cancelled soap Guiding Light added 51,000 total viewers, and added one-tenth of a point among women 18-49.
