The Bold and The Beautiful Soars Back to 2.5!

It appears The Bold and the Beautiful is on its way back! The cougarific soap added a whooping 209,000 total viewers for the week of July 27-31 (Source: SON). B&B went up one-tenth of a ratings point in households, nabbing a not-to-shabby 2.5.  B&B also went up one-tenth of a point among the coveted women 18 to 49 demo. B&B's older sister sudser The Young and the Restless added 2,000 total viewers over the previous week, managing to hold steady in households and among women 18-49.

The news wasn't as promising for the Procter and Gamble CBS soaps. As The World Turns lost 93,000 total viewers over the previous week, while Guiding Light dropped 76,000. Both soaps held steady in households, however GL went down one-tenth of a ratings point among women 18-49.

It was a good week for NBC's lone soap Days of Our Lives. DAYS saw an increase of 205,000 total viewers over the previous week. The sudser went up one-tenth of a ratings point in households and held steady among women 18 to 49.

Over at the Mouse House, General Hospital lost 106,000 viewers over the previous week. GH went down one-tenth of a ratings point in households and among women 18-49. ABC's Little Soap That Should Be On Top, One Life to Live added 14,000 total viewers over the previous week. OLTL went up one-tenth of a ratings point in households (OLTL is tied with DAYS and GH for third place) and held steady among women 18-49. All My Children lost 59,000 total viewers over the previous week, dropping one-tenth of a ratings point in households. AMC did manage to go up one-tenth of a ratings point among women 18-49.
