In July Guiding Light's Crystal Chappell became the first actor or actress to earn a No. 1 ranking on the Daytime Confidential Top 20 for a record breaking third time. Before July, Victoria Rowell, Alicia Minshew and Chappell had each earned a No. 1 DC Top 20 ranking twice. Chappell returns to Days of Our Lives this fall.
Daytime Confidential Top 50
The Young and the Restless’ Thom Bierdz appeared at No. 22. Days of Our Lives star Arianne Zucker came in at No. 26. All My Children and General Hospital star Finola Hughes earned a spot at No. 32. One Life to Live’s Brett Claywell made No. 35. Guiding Light golden boy Tom Pelphrey appeared at No. 43. Shemar Moore rounded out the DC Top 50 at No. 50.
The Daytime Confidential Top 20 is published each month based on the interests of Daytime Confidential readers. Each actor's ranking is based on the total number of unique visits to their news page. A link to each actor's news page usually appears as a tag in content published about that actor.

I'm really missing Chris Engen on Y&R but why is he #2 on your list? You had no articles about him at all in July. What is your basis for measuring someone's "popularity" on DC? Though goodness knows, the only current topics worthy of discussion regarding Y&R are the black hole left by CE's departure and the need for Victoria Rowell to return.
Nice to see Crystal Chappell at #1. She is the most important actor in soaps today. It will be fascinating to see if she turns Venice into a money-maker. Why someone doesn't build a 1/2 hour soap around CC is beyond me.

Does anybody at DC know were the GL stars are going? Like an update on that. Herd once that Josh and Reva may go to ATWT, but they have been getting a lot of new people.
My mom been looking around for a new soap to watch she has been watching GL since it began on TV; what would be a good soap to get into? She thought about Days of our Lives love the theme music and the hour glass my Grandma watched that;, but it hard to get into a different soap don't know the characters. How about some of the GL stars go to GH, but that's a P&G show they may get screwed again. But be nice if they can play the same characters like they do to B&B and Y&R. Were is Jerry Van Dorn-Ross Mahler GL which ABC soap his he on? GL fans will not watch Let's make a Deal; this would be a great opportunity to gain some more viewers may be few but were are loyal.

Congrats to everyone from GL. So many great actors in that cast that I fear I won't ever see again. Between Days and Venice, I think Crystal just might stay perched right where she is next month.

Love seeing Crystal Chappell at #1 for a record breaking 3rd month and Jessica Leccia still hanging in at 4.
Bitter-sweet that the story took such a turn during the month that that's what drove the interest.
A lot of Guiding Light interest in it's twilight.

I am really savoring GL these days. I love all characters/people who made the top 20. I am hoping that Blake finds a new love before the final show.

CraigCP - Jerry Van Dorn is on One Life to Live but he isn't playing Ross Marler, he's playing a character named Clint Buchannan. And while I understand they had to push a new love interest for Blake (and if we're watching we all know who it is) I'm still ticked off that ABC/OLTL wouldn't release Jerry for a freaking single day to have Ross reunite with Blake on GL. I mean, the soap is going off the air...how petty do you have to be, right?
