Susan Lucci winning the Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Emmy after 19 times is the GREATEST Daytime Emmy Moment EVER. Watching this clip – the elation of the audience, the joy on Lucci’s face and the sincerity in her words – always brings tears to my eyes. ALWAYS!

I still remember being in a hotel room in the Grand Canyon, screaming my lungs out, when Susan Lucci won. The clip has never failed to bring a tear to my eye ever since.

This was the best win ever.. It still makes me cry… I remember watching and being so excited over this. At the time, AMC was a show that I was Watching… That do get me in the emmy mood

I was finishing up my junior year of high school that year. It was really one of those awards show moments, that you heard her name called and at home you said “Yes, Hell Yes!!!!” or “Finally!” Too bad she has not won since. The odd thing was that AMC was still really good then, not the disaster it is now. I hope that Judge Judy will have her losing streak over with tonight. Good Luck tonight to all of this year’s nominess.

Ahh yes I remember this moment well I was a chubby little girl who lived vicariously through soaps, spending the night at a friends house and I can remember begging her to change the channel over so I could see if she won or not and was so excited that she did of course my friends could of cared less that year taught me a very important lesson “stay home on daytime emmy night and record!”

I also remember this moment as well. It was sooo touching and I was moved again watching this 10 yrs later! I remember after the telecast, I immediately wrote SOW a letter detailing how momentus this victory was…and they published my letter as the entire backpage in the Sound Off section! LOL. They even called me to offer an internship and if I lived in NYC I would have done it!
