As the World Turns Spoilers

As the World Turns has been making a habit of using short-term name actors to come in, make an impression and leave. Just when things begin to look interesting between Holden, Lily, Damian and Maeve, Judi Evans makes her exit. Her last airdate is scheduled for October 30.

Henry/Audrey: Greedy to the core, Audrey poisons Barbara's drink, hoping for deadly results. Henry saves the day and prevents Barbara from taking a sip. Audrey is arrested for attempted murder. Can it be long before it is revealed that she killed James for his money, or will she make an escape? Either way, Lynn Herring and Stuart Damon share a final airdate on October 27.

Ralph: Speaking of Ralph, his exit storyline will be more dramatic and leave a more lasting effect. Katie gets involved  when Henry tells her he's leaving. Katie finds Ralph to talk to him, but instead finds herself taken away to a warehouse, where she is abandoned by Ralph's henchmen. Barbara finds out that Katie was kidnapped and helps Henry by unblocking the inheritance so he can pay Ralph the money he is owed. Since his men left Katie, he can't tell them where she is stashed. While alone, Katie has a vision of her friends and family, who guide her through an escape route. As she tries to free herself, she goes into labor and has her baby boy. She is finally found by Brad, who also becomes a hostage. Jack attempts to rescue the trio and makes a fatal miscalculation. In the dark and confusion, Brad is shot. He later dies at the hospital.

Parker/Jack/Liberty/Craig/Rosanna: Craig decides to pull the plug on Parker's trust fund blackmail money because he wants to come clean when Carly comes home. Parker's plans to house Liberty in an apartment fall apart, but Liberty's troubles are just beginning. She is feeling the heat from all sides about her baby and now has to deal with the death of her father. Janet still wants to raise Liberty's baby, which pits her against Paul and Emily, who want to get Liberty out of town. Despite the endless pressure, Liberty will face another tragedy. Meanwhile, Jack's suspicions about Craig and Rosanna grow, but all he finds are brick walls. His investigation eventually leads him back to Parker, who confesses that they are having an affair.

As the World Turns promises lots of action this week. A few cast members will be exiting the canvas, but some anticipated returns are right around the corner. Post your comments!

Does anyone one remember John Dixon Margo father should bring him back and Andy Dixon? ATWT is getting bizarre, hard to keep track who's coming and going. GL writers must have kicked in, start killing people off. Sure wish they bring it back to their glory days.

I'm with you Joan76! We talked about that on a podcast. It's great to have Herring and Damon on but if you never watch General Hospital or Port Charles, they have no connection to the audience. Bring back characters that matter! I'd love to see Lyla come back and help with her daughter-new widow-new mother Katie for a short time.

There is too much disconnection and isolation on this show. One would never know that Katie, Craig or Margo are related. The storylines would be better layered if they mixed it up a bit. Where is Susan concerning Emily's obsession with Liberty's baby? At least we get the Meg and Emma talks, they are always good! There's more but I think I made my point.

Thanks, I hope I don't age myself but I was around the days of the famous cut in Kennedy was shot was working part-time at Sears in near the TV's, They just got some new models in setting them up, then the cut in happen, it was like the day the earth stood still in Sears, everyone stopped what they were doing. ATWT and GL are historic shows should be treated with respect. They had the first African American James Earl Jones. I've looked for a clip with James, could DC find any?

It should be required by the writers to watch these old clips. I haven't given up yet.

Thought maybe the young people like to see in the day.
Here is the Uncut Kennedy from it's original form; there was no CNN, FOX, DVR, TIVO They actually confirm news before they report it. No political views please.

Copy and paste them to your browser.

They had to either kill Brad off or write him out and it's not cause of the Guiding Light writers.

ATWT has become a charicature of its former self, with all the speed stories, overacting and stupid plotholes. No wonder its ratings are in the toilet.
