I have always wanted to create a soap opera...and see it come to life. I wish there was a way to find out or read about what is required to do so. I have some of the characters, the setting and the ideas in my mind and some are on paper, but I don't know how to sort it out. I have some English classes, lit classes and such to my credit...but I never finished college. Not like that ever means anything. I guess I also want to know how does somebody get into working on a soap, to dedicate a career to it. I'm not so much about the acting, as I am other creative elements, but would be willing to learn from the bottom up...anything really I guess, because I've always wanted to work in the genre in some capacity, even if it was at the front desk. Can anyone seriously answer me? And I am sorry, I don't mean to abuse this forum. I just need a direction.
