AMEN LUKE! for everything you & Mel said. Ali & Ari deserve emmys for this stuff. I pretty sure I didn't blink during these scenes. I don't have any words for how awesome for these ladies were.
HM - Stacy Haiduk cause I totally buy into insanity & I feel bad for her one minute and I'm scared of her the next. Her scenes w/ Michelle Stafford were fantastic. Then she's Dr. Emily & I think she's totally a different person. She deserves an Emmy nom for this stuff.
Stafford cause she crushed all her scenes. Loved these ladies this week.
Florencia Lozano as well. She owns all her scenes. So many great ladies this week.
For the guys Brandon Barash. He gave me a reason to really like GH this past week.
DM - Nadia Bjorlin cause she is just stupid. I started laughing when I saw her reading a book in a scene last week. I half expected the book to be upside down.
Also for Galen Gering for being so weak in the swap scenes. He acts like a Neanderthal (however you spell it). I love Galen but he needs to get away from Sami & jump into a different s/l.
Also Clemzilla. She is just awful & the only reason I watch her is b/c of Killer Miller. Why is she on my screen everyday! She is so monotone & makes me wanna kill my tv.
Van Hansis for overacting & being just annoying. He is just killing me.
Can't believe I'm saying this but I'm happy for Dr. Dan for clearing up the air with the whole NeandeRafe trying to take Sydney. He was the best part of the Rafe taking Sydney back scenes (Something I never thought I'd say)

Thanks to Luke for posting this early--it makes me feel like I'm one step closer to hearing the podcast with the Eddie Winslow commentary. That's going to be EPIC.
Also, congratulations on the anniversaries of daytimeconfidential.com and the podcasts. I don't say often enough how grateful I am for all the hard work that goes on to make this site what it is (the best daytime site, IMO), so thank you for all you do...and many more years of success to y'all.
I feel like I'm repeating much of what was said already but:
Performer of the Week -
Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R): For the last couple of months, Phyllis has been neutered by the on-again/off-again nature of her relationship with Nick, but she finally got her fire back this week when she went to visit Patty. Great stuff.
Honorable Mentions -
Florencia Lozano (Tea, OLTL): After the way Ross has been acting, I wouldn't have blamed Tea for taking immense pleasure in telling him he wasn't Daniela's father, but Tea was genuinely heartbroken about the situation. FL delivered a great nuanced performance.
Brandon Barash (Johnny, GH): I don't know that I've ever really believed Johnny as a mobster--he was always so sweet and sensitive--but his conversation with Olivia was laced with a callousness that made me believe. I loved it.
Dishonorable Mentions -
Y&R Casting: GH gets James Franco and you get Eddie f'n Winslow. Way to go.

You guys forgot Farah Faith. We Rex told her that Jared died her reaction and performance was horrific.

I just watched soaps sporadically this week so I have no POW but honorable mentions go to Arianne Zucker (DOOL), she impressed me even more than Ali.
Michael Lowry (OLTL) was very imoressive as well
DM: I watched some clips of Forbes March and I don't know if it was for the right week but man he was hamming it up.
Florenciana is a great actress but that shrieking has got to stop, I can't watich OLTL because of it.
I missed anything Farah Fath or JPL otherwise I'm sure they would've been on my dishonorable list.

So true. Whatever Y&R casting has been smoking these last couple of months, I want some

Yes that shrieking was a bit much. I was thinking is anyone going to come to her rescue because obviously someone working at the hotel would have heard her. Oh wait they are going ot have Todd save her...sigh
POW-Michelle Stafford
Honorable Mentions - Susan Flannery, Betty White, Alley Mills (Those scenes with them at the pier or whatever that was were great!) Tricia Cast,
Dishonorable Mention - Clementine Ford...she has got to GO!

'Kay, I HAVE to defend my Y&R just a tad martin on the Eddie Winslow stuff. Maybe he'll be good?? I know, I know, filling the Shoes of Malcom is going to be ungodly for this kid, however.....I'm gonna hold out on hanging someout out to dry...
GH/ABC and the James Franco stuff screams ratings ploy. I have no freakin clue who this guy is (I'm 32, not 17) but apparently, he's "all the rage"...whatever, ABC wants to impress me, stop shooting kids in the head (when I stopped watching) and bring back Genie for another November (she's all but taken out a billboard) THATS a ratings ploy I wouldn't mind in the least.
And lets not forget, it was ABC that cut Billy Miller and STACY HIADUK loose...so they can't be given too many props as They Can't see Real Talent past the Real Greenlee Tree's...
In my opinion (sticking w/my Y&R. It's been drab lately, but it's the only soap I watch anymore) Michelle Stafford had me riveted! Whenever she verbally attacked Patti, I almost pee'd myself (sorry)
DISHONORABLE:
The Honorable Philip Chancellor. One line said it all "Damn CATTLE Ranchers!!!" Oh dear god....

One more dishonorable mention that I forgot....Melissa Archer...she's got to go! I remember when she first came on the show. I hated her character and her acting then. All these years later I still don't like the character and her acting is less than stellar! Then at the end of the week they JPL's character comes to comfort her. I thought give me a break this is not going to be anything nice. I'm so not looking forward to those scenes on Monday.

Thanks for another good podcast, guys! Loved it.
Performer of the Week:
Jillian, Thank you for bringing up Brandon Barash as performer of the week. Johnny definitely walks a thin line with the grief over losing Claudia and the anger he shows as he realizes how many people have been lying to him and how alone he really is. I know Claudia was a problematic character (understatement) but he is totally making me feel for her death. Whenever Johnny slumps over in his chair and props his head on his hand, I just want to give him a great big hug! And when he confronted Olivia about Dante, I was screamin at the screen. Okay, it wasn't all rational because of course Olivia is going to put her kid first, but I wanted her to put Johnny first. A testament to the performance. I may be in the minority when I say I like Johnny and Olivia together, but the actors have good chemistry and there is great character-driven conflict, IMO.
Honorable Mention:
I totally agree with Marie Wilson as honorable mention too! Meg has become such a good conniver. I could not wait for the cringe-worthy Luke/Holden/Lily/Damien scenes to end so we could see more of Meg torturing Damien. She was a definite highlight this week (aside from Henry & Ghost Brad).

I wish I could see what y'all see in OLTL. I started back watching OLTL because of Tea and Rachel but I can't stand this storyline with Tea. It's horrible and having to watch Rachel with bland Greg, I can't take it anymore. It's off my DVR.

Alison Sweeney and Arianne Zucker were awesome! Gave a great payoff for the end of the babyswitch. Both ladies are doing great work.

OMGosh yes! C. Ford is horrible!!
She is sooooo bad that (...wait for it...) she made me FF through Billy Miller scenes!!!
Yes, you read that right, her mere presence is starting to bring down my Billy Love. I have NEVER FF'd through any of his scenes until last week. I just couldn't take it anymore, she is so DULL, that I literally felt like she was trying to drain my life-force, & the only way I could stop her was by getting her off my screen.
That made me REALLY sad, b/c I love BM, he & EH (Chole) & TC (Nina) [& VR (Dru!)- honorable mention] are my favorites and I was a little disgusted with myself for letting her get the better of me & my soap viewing experience.
But what's a gal to do?? Either TPTB get her off my screen or my hand (finger) will be forced to.
