Adding insult to injury, Olivia is there as Sonny's date while Kate is nowhere to be found at the Crimson event.  Hate Olivia (airhog).

I'm loving James Franco. He's making this interesting!

also, i am a fan of olivia's.  not sure why people dislike her.. 

Im back watching GH after about a 6 - 8 month hiatus. I tuned back in for the week leading up to Claudia's death and now. Olivia seems to be on everyday. Also I'm liking Franco already. Anyone gettin under Jason (and Sonny's) skin is A okay in my book. 

I'm just glad they didn't try to run Franco through Port Lulu. Anyone else is pretty much acceptable . 

I so wanted Olivia to get hit by lightning.

I loved Franco and Maxie, they were so hot and it was dark and twisted from both sides.  She decided to stay and was the one that wanted to blindfold him.  

TG so wanted a scene with JF, that is the only plausible explanation for that scene, I did enjoy the scene though so all is good.

Is Keith Richards dead?  I don't think so but they made a big deal about Franco having Keith Richards and Hunter Thompson's passports since they are dead.  I'm confuzzled.

 GH has already completely won me over with this storyline...For the first time in a verrrrry long time..I'm counting down until the next episode...the writing has been so cleverl...James Franco is a superstar..but so is Kirsten Storms!

I loved the meeting between Maxie and Franco but then later it started to get real dark and the way he treated her and talked to her pissed me off.

Also JF looked tired and sleepy. It looked like they woke him up to do some scenes and he just rolled out of bed.

I for one was pissed Maxie went with a stranger who wanted her to blindfold herself. SHe already thought he was creepy.  Her sister was killed by a creep they both knew so for her to go with some stranger like that after the way her sister died was so stupid and beyond comprension.

I dont understand Sam dressing like that for an art gallery opening. She also was head of securty. SHe should have been representing herself as a businesswoman not some biker chick.

That whole conversation between Luke and Franco seemed stupid and out of place.  As did the conversation between Franco and Sonny. Are we to believe Sonny reads a lot, whatever.

Could Lulu talk any louder when Dante came to her apartment.  The people on the sidewalk could hear her. They should tell JB to use her inside voice.

I was so disappointed Margaret....oops I mean Olivia was praying to god about a mobster. WTHeck. She is an airhog and an annoyance. I really wish Sonny didn't ask her to the opening.  I would have loved to see Sonny ask Alexis. Even though Alexis complains about Sonny, when he ask her to do something for him she does it. Sonny could have just asked to to accompany him without mentioning the shootout since ALexis wouldn't have known about it anyways since she's not a DA anymore. I would have loved to have seen Alexis reaction to the "artwork"

Where the freak is Kate!  See I think TIIC doesn't want Kate around Sonny because of the chemistry they have together since they are pushing Olivia/Sonny on us. This was Kate's event she should have been there. It makes no sense.  AND WHERE THE FREAK WAS THE ONLY ARTIST IN PC, LIZ! That stuff pisses me off. Liz is an artist she should have been there so should have Nik. He's very worldly and he may have heard of Franco since he was in Europe for a while. Today's show sucked.

Luke is in his 60s right? WTH is he wearing his hair spiked like a backstreet boy?

I guess the length of Franco's tenure is the reason for speeding up the sl but it's a wonderful change of pace on a show that drags a "secret" out forever. I like James Franco and therefore have a resovoir of goodwill toward him but I thought the Maxie scenes at his studio were farfetched. I actually thought she should have gotten out of the limo.

As an artist, Liz should be involved in this story line and doing consultant work for Crimson.

WTF!?!  Still, the line made me laugh out loud, since it is blatantly obvious that Sonny has avoided reading all his life for this very reason.

As an artist, Liz should be involved in this story line and doing consultant work for Crimson.

While I agree (and am grateful) that Liz is conspicuously absent from something she would be the first person interested in, I disagree with any assertion that Kate would ever ask Liz - or any "local" artist for that matter, to consult.

Kate is desperate to hook Franco because he is world-renowned and at the same time cutting-edge; a fashion icon like Kate Howard would be worldy and well-read enough to not need (or want) the opinion of a local (i.e., lower quality) artist.

Good episode.  Franco did look sleepy at one point.

I don't understand the fuss about a mini-dress; the style has been around for 40 years.  What's with the puritanical attitude?  This is GH and that's Sam McCall.  

Luke's hair looks like what every 50-something hipster would have.  Luke isn't supposed to be a Wall Street tycoon, a police officer, etc.  He's a peacock.  He might be older but he's still the owner of a casino and a former blues bar owner.

I am sad & genuinely horrified at Maxie's extraordinary lack of judgment & the links to which she will apparently go for her job. NO JOB is worth this kind of wreckless, risky behavior.

Franco is USING Maxie! When Maxie was reticent about what she was doing, Franco told the limo driver to stop the car & advised Maxie she could get out...on the side of the road at night.

Franco knows Maxie promised Kate she "would throw her skirt over her head" to get this photo shoot, & he is going to see to it that she does just that. Then, Franco is going to use pictures of Maxie blind-folded wallowing on the floor to taunt Jason. Maxie is going to come out of this looking like an utter fool, totally debased and prostituted by both Franco & Kate. I am appalled.

I thought today was interesting.

I enjoyed seeing the Maxie and Franco stuff but definitely thought that it felt "off"--the show is already hitting the "psycho" note too hard for Franco, considering it's only his third day. Also, this is all making Maxie look, well, less than bright. She has been the victim of a crime, her sister was killed in one. And yet, it's OK to take off in a car with a completely stranger...for a magazine story? Please, it's Crimson, not the New Yorker.

Since I'm a Spixie fan, I'm curious to see whether I'll remain one after tomorrow. LOL

The Luke/Franco scene was well acted. I was happy to see TG actually show up and act, for once. I also really enjoyed the subtext in the Franco/Sonny scene. MB did good work.

Jason is being so annoyingly "it's all about MEEEE" but well, it IS all about him.

Ok.  I've read all the comments both negative and positive and all I have to say today is that I enjoyed the entire hour from the beginning until the end.  I fast forwarded the commercials and was glued to my tv for the whole show.  I hope the rest of the week is as good!

Interesting day -

Franco needs to open his eyes so he doesn't look so stoned.

I found myself wondering if Tony Geary was folowing the script or ad- libbing.  Either way, there were a few too many art references thrown in.  It was over kill.  Luke seemed wierdly attracted as well.

Sam's dress was not exactly professional.  She was supposed to be present as the security.  When you want to be taken seriously, you do not wear that outfit.  She was excited last week about the opportunity to do security work instead of cheating husbands.  She said it could open new doors.  She should have been working the room instead of hanging with Jason.  Networking for future business would have been the point.

I thought it was very odd writing to have Sam comment about Joey Limbo being killed by a sicko.   Jason is a killer.  Is their a hierarchy to killing?  When does one make the move to sicko?  She applauds Jason's career choice but finds fault with the "sicko"?  I guess the writers have her speaking their viewpoint.  It was odd.

I didn't like Lucky giving Jason inside information.

I didn't like Maxie going off with a stranger.  I did like that she slapped him.

I agree with what many posters are saying about Kate and Liz not being at the art gallery. Although the episode itself was good, the fact that those two were not present was a perfect example on how Tptb play favorites.
Sam over the last month or so is getting back into her old habits when it comes to her relationship with Jason. She is again becoming all about him and nothing else. I knew they were never going to let her stay strong, confident, and independent, not that I would actually like them even if they did, they will always feel fake, forced, and contrived to me.
Anthony Geary totally requested that he get a scene with James Franco. I didnt mind the scene so much but it did feel out of place.
The Sonny and Luke scene also felt a little odd, I cant put my finger on it but it just felt weird for Luke to be so angry and accusatory to Sonny about what happened.
All in all though a good episode and I am liking the James Franco character.

While I get that Liz is an "artist", and obviously my anti-Liz bias is showing, but... she is an amateur hobby artist who hasn't been involved with her art in years! Her forgotten studio has only showed up again recently as a prop for the Niz passion. And despite the 40 or so paintings  of flowers in vases that are propped up around the studio, I haven't seen her paint anything in years! Somehow I don't think that Franco's dirty crime art would be up her alley anyways. There, rant over, I feel better!

JaSam I just loved their scenes they were so hottttt and Jason was wearing different color yeaaaaa I actually I loved sam dress and also Lulu and Maxi both were on the job and wear dresses , Sam did went and check that everything is OK , I think she can do that in her dress .... and by the way someone put  out picks of famous woman wearing that dress!!
I have to say that JaSam were the most good looking couple in that art show ..
I didn't understand Luke and Franco scenes only so that Tony can say I was in a scenes with James Franco....
I didn't understand Luke anger at Sonny that was not Sonny's fault if it was Joey Limbo, who used Luke to kill SaSon...

Ok Maxi was stupid last night I don't care how hot he is she sew that he was strange she noticed his strange behavior and still went with him????
I do think it is true to her she always went the dangerous way..
and by the way the way she posed was the same as Claudia  body were!

See as much as I might enjoy this little trip down Franco way..it is not a permanent solution and since it only here to prop up Jason I for one can do without it.  I will enjoy it because its not everyday that a Franco graces your daytime drama.

has it occured to anyone that maybe sam and spinelli were undercover and not supposed to walk around in flourescent orange suits with signs that say "security?" perhaps i missed a point that the rest of you didn't but most security, secret service included, try to blend in at events not stand out. ok - i'll put my sam defense hormone back on the shelf now.

whether i like liz or not, i don't think this type work would be up her alley (i'll leave that to nik - sorry i couldn't resist - please forgive me! lol) the medium is different and maybe - unlike maxie - liz doesn't want to be surrounded by images reminding her how her best friend was killed.

In this kind of events Sam can't wear normal cloths she is wearing what she should wear she is mixing it with the crowds ...
In many events like this the people who behind the security wear clothes  that can blend in the events ..............

I thought the episode was great I'm still loving all the Franco stuff....didn't really miss Liz....but it wouldn't have mattered if she was there....
In any book or show that I read or watch in which there are people working security at a formal event, those runnung the operation are usually meant to blend in and therefore wear formal clothes...only the foot soldiers wear the security outfits.....whatever....I thought everyone looked great, especially Sam and Lulu...Spixie really isn't that important to me so I don't mind some hot Franco/Maxie action.....

I totally agree. Give Liz something to do that might actually get her out of the hell that is this Nik/Liz/Lucky storyline. TPTB are completely ruining her for me.

Just what GH needs, another freakin' whacko.  Did we have enough with the Zachara father and daughter tag team?  Now we have Mr. Hottie who believes his "art" gives him license to disregard even the smallest sensibilities of others as well as defy the law.  Yeap, just what GH needs.  Being attractive, whether in reality or as a fictional character, does not give one entitlement.  

I really don't know how much longer I can hang on and watch this show.  I am already down to the point where missing a couple of days or even a week or more doesn't bother me.  I keep up with the basic story lines with all the information available online.  So, I'm really not missing anything except the assault to my ethics and sensibilities.

So, I am really loving this whole thing, with just a couple of exceptions.

First, Sam and Spinelli are supposed to dress like the patrons to blend in, I don't have a problem with that, but to me her outfit looked like she put on her dress first, and then her boustier on top of it. While that can be a sexy look, it doesn't look good when it is that thick, off white fabric your grandmother wears.

Second, Kate should have been there before it opened if she is the control freak that they have been portraying her as since, Crimson started. The fact that she wasn't even there, I mean, she could have been there, but off screen and someone mentioned that she was elsewhere in the building. This shows me that the writers think of plots and not the big picture. Even though, the stories are getting better, the writers not quite.

Finally, maybe its because I am a new viewer, but I am glad that Liz wasn't there. Because this looks like something Nik would attend. That would have led to Nik following her like a lost puppy, AGAIN, and then her saying "We Can't!" again, and then Luke confronting them AGAIN. I am sick to death of this story and it hasn't even been a month, has it? Someone tell Lucky soon, so that this can blow up and we can all move on.

Now my praises.

Luke meeting Franco to me was gold! I don't care if TG asked to be in a scene with him, the back and forth was great. My line of the day was Luke quoting Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison Blues to Max and Milo and them looking confused about it. "Be careful with this one, he once shot a man in Reno, just to Watch him die." LOL too funny.

I love the way that they are going to play Jason as paranoid about this guy. I just hope they keep it that no one will believe him for a couple weeks. Then, I hope that the person that finally believes him is Lucky. I like the chemistry between SB and JJ. I hope they play it up.

Finally to all of you people who are complaining about James Franco's eyes being half shut, have you ever watched him in his movies? In everything, unless he is supposed to be shocked or hurt, that is how he looks. Look at his red carpet photos that have been used on this site for his stories, they all looked the same way. That is why pineapple express was not much of stretch for him, he already looks high all the time.

Can't wait for tomorrow!
