Phyllis/Sharon/Nick/Adam is just painful.

Michael's story is dragging in the mud until we find out who Ryder's mama is.

I cannot stand Emily. Stacy Haiduk is overrated.

The only thing that sounds intriguing is the Chance spoiler. Why would his attacker contact him? Could he be working for the cattle mobsters that caused the Phillip/Cane scenario?

It is always fun to read Jillian's spoilers and I look forward to them each week.

Now who of you out there are getting beyond fed up with the Daniel, Deacon, Ryder set up? Has that plot not gone on for just a bit too long now (maybe even since it began)?

And who of you thought that Wednesday's Thanksgiving episode was confusing? All the characters seemed to be bouncing back and forth and in-between everywhere. Also I guess the New York water supply has human growth hormones in it now, as does the water in the Michael Baldwin apartment!

My most annoying character from this past couple of weeks is Abby. Did no one ever tell her about Victor's complicity in what happened over the past few months? It really bothers me that no child born on this show can ever grow up to be well adjusted teens or adults (oh right, their brains can't keep up with the body's growth spurts). I really don't think that little girl Abby would have grown up to be this annoying brat harridan of a teen school girl. Realistically she should be mad at her father, not her mother.

thanks jillian for the scoop.  maybe this is the time y and r's writers need to work on the other characters story lines and then work 'victor' back in.  lol  his absence is felt big time.

This whole Adam/Sharon thing is just WRONG!!!!  Why not give Sharon a relationship with Neil or somebody else.  Why Adam?!?!  Yuck  

Truebluetime you are so right.  The absence of Victor and Nikki is definitely being felt on this show.  Hopefully they are back on our screens soon!

I'm still enjoying the Victor/Nikki break. The longer we go without them, the better!

I can hardly stand the show without Victor and Nikki. They need to come back asap. If I didn't know they were coming back I would have stopped watching for good.

Victor was so cruel and evil from August 2008-November 2009 that it's going to take a loooong time to wash that taste out of my mouth. Hope he stays away til at least February sweeps.

Am I the only one finding Michael Muhney more and more hot?  Yeah, the storyline is wacked out, but I also committed to total denial that Phyliis ever ran over Paul with her car (LOL) just so Michelle Stafford would stay!!!Sometimes wrong is hot, yunno?

I agree most of the story lines are dragging and this Adam/Sharon mess is well .. a mess!!! Come on I used to like Sharon but I thought she went to the hospital and go ther brain all fixed .. if it's fixed why in the hell would she go for Adam?? I don't care how nice he may be being .... Smitty I liked your idea about her and Neil that could be interesting!   And the Daniel story needs to move on Fast!!!  I admit I'm not really missing Victor yet, I think they need to fix the stories they already have rather then worry about bringing him back right now.  I want them to do more Chloe/Billy/Chance stories anything to have Billy on my screen!!! now that Mac is gone it will be even better!

evidently Phyllis (why is she the only one that can not be called by her NAME!)  had the plaque commissioned earlier, what a loving and caring wife to do something so selfless for the daughter of her husband!!

So Sharon gets her thong in a knot over Jack confronting her and Adam, and decides she has been without a man for too long, so she takes Adam upstairs for some sex!!  too funny!!!

Adam/Sharon make me sick!!!! It's disgusting that the writers even decided to went there. So wrong on so many levels.

Phyllis remembers that she is Daniel's mother and wants to help him with his problems? Wow! Here we go. The first time around she was so full of her love for Nick, she didn't even realize in what trouble the boy was in.

I really hope that Kevin doesn't help Gloria with whatever plan she might come up to get more money. This woman needs to stay away from her sons. Life for them would so much easier. But hey .... yeah, it's a soap opera.
Anyway it would be nice to not seeing Gloria causing problems for Kevin and Michael again and again. It's getting old!

Emily and Jack are just  a very pathetic pairing. You wanna tell me that a psychiatrist begins a relationship with someone that just had an affair with a crazy woman that looks just like you!?

So Sharon's worked her way through the Abbotts and now she's back to the Newmans! If John Abbott were alive, she'd have screwed him by now too.

THE Y&R HAS RUINED IT NOW, IF EVER WE THOUGHT SHARON AND NICK COULD BE TOGETHER, WELL IT SADDENS ME TO SAY IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.  THIS WHOLE SWITCHING BABIES THING JUST MADE ME TURN THE Y&R OFF, I CHECK BACK FROM TIME TO TIME.  I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL Y&R FAN SINCE 1980, WHEN SNAPPER AND THE FOSTERS WERE ON.  THE SHOW HAS JUST GONE DOWN THE TUBE.  WHAT THE Y&R DOESN'T UNDERSTAND IS THAT VIEWERS SUCH AS MYSELF AND A FEW FRIENDS WANT CERTAIN CHARACTORS TO STAY TOGETHER.   THE SHOW WAS GREAT WHEN NICK AND SHARON, VICTOR AND NICKI WERE TOGETHER.  PHYLIS WAS AT HER BEST WHEN SHE DID CRAZY THINGS, AND WAS WITH JACK.  UNFORTUNATELY THE WRITERS HAVE LOST THERE TOUCH, OR MAYBE THERE JUST NEW WRITERS AND ARE NOT VERY GOOD.  OH YES, THE JOHN COMING BACK AS A GHOST AND THE CHIPMUNK, WOW WHAT A WASTE OF OUR TIME, IT WAS PATHETIC.  WE WILL CHECK BACK IN A FEW WEEKS SEE IF ANYTHING GOOD IS COMING UP.  MAYBE THE WRITERS WILL GET IT TOGETHER AND GIVE THE BABY BACK.   IF THE Y&R CONTINUES THE WAY IT IS GOING, WELL MAYBE THE KEY WORD IS GOING...
 

BORING

Phyllis has NEVER forgotten that Daniel is her SON! She has always been there for Daniel when he needed her, but Daniel is an  adult! and has been one for years! First she is bashed for telling Daniel that she does not think marrying Amber was a good idea, but she was there for the wedding! Have we seen Danny there supporting Daniel when he gets into trouble?  Did we see Danny fighting tooth and nail and all the Newmans when Daniel was accused of being responsible for Cassie's death? maybe next time  Daniel needs to call Danny or his Aunt Gina to bail him out of jail and pay for his attorney hours!!  Phyllis is 100% devoted to her son Daniel and he knows it, too bad some can not give her kudos for being the best and evidently ONLY parent that does love and care about Daniel!

Phyliss has a lot to make up for when it comes to Daniel.  Danny raised Daniel all by himself so Phyliss has to make up for it some how...lol

My mom said the other day while we were watching Y&R that she just can't see Phyliss and Nick together.  She said they don't fit.  As a long term viewer I totally  agree with her.  I feel like with Nick they try and make Phyliss a susie homemaker and that's not the Phyliss that I like.  I really wish they would get Phyliss out of Nick's orbit and get her back with Jack.  

Victor and Nikki should not get back together ever

Nikki realistically should never allow herself to be drawn back into Victor's web. She should have learned her lesson a few wives back by now. The cycle of Victor and Nikki reunited then broken by Victor's wandering eyes (its not even sexual) has just gotten extremely tiring. I think it would have been much more interesting to have Nikki become Victor's successful adversary and maybe even to have joined forces with Ashley.

I know Victor is returning but it is annoying that he is still going to be hell bent on revenge. He won't even think of who's heart is now beating in his chest. I truly hope that someone finally destroys him and drags him to hell where he belongs!

Yes rob3215 Michael Muhney is HOT despite the fact that he plays possibly the most unredeemable character on daytime right now; this of course doesn't mean Y&R isn't going to try to redeem him--the apparent pairing with perennial wet blanket Sharon is step one.  Of course, once she finds out he switched her baby for Ashley's dead one, well...she'll forgive him and they'll get married and live happily ever after! This is after all the new, not-so-improved Y&R.

Least interesting info in these spoilers--the fact that Gloria is still getting screen time.  Am I the only one who thinks she's the most annoying, self-centered, overbearing, and over-the-top character on this show?(Don't worry Amber--you're still a close second).  I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Gloria shipped off to an island Survivor-style...with the caveat that she have absolutely NO WAY of getting home.  

But that's just me.

Oh yeah, Daniel is an adult but when he's wanted for murder, I would take care of my son instead of trying to rescue a marriage with a cheating and lying husband.
Absolutely, Phyllis deserves the title for mother of the year - give me a break. She even had days were she was so pathetic she tried to use Summer to make Nick stay with her. I hear her words all over again, when she told Nick he couldn't leave their little girl and everything.

And yeah, I agree. Nick and Sharon have been ruined. I don't know how they wanna fix it, if they want that at all. They made a homewrecker out of Sharon this year. Having not only an affair with her ex-husband, but also with her brother-in-law. It made me sick to watch it, because I used to love Sharon. But now ... her involvness with Adam is just another reason to FF her stories.
I would have liked to see Sharon with Neil. That could have been a great pairing. But to pair her up with the man who is responsible for the baby switch and her latest tragedy is too much. Anyway what do writers think we want with Adam and Sharon? Do they really think for one minute we would be rooting for them when we just see how sorry Adam is for one minute of his day?

but you forget one thing, Danny did not RAISE  Daniel, he had nannies and as soon as he was school age he was placed in boarding schools, Phyllis has done more for Daniel since he came home then Danny ever has!!  Danny is the one that has not helped out with Daniel when Daniel has needed support!

Nick and Phyllis make a great pair!!!  I have watched Y & R since the first episode and to me, Nick and Phyllis are everything Bill Bell wanted in a couple, and after reading the Bill Bell bible for the show in its insception and early years, I think Bill Bell would be very much a PHICK fan!! Remember Phyllis was only 21 when she came to town and Nick was 17-18! they really are not that far apart in age!

I never want Phyllis back with Jack, Jack can never love a woman more then he loves himself and he has proven that since 1980.

NICK/PHYLLIS/SHARON:

Nick's still married to his wife Phyllis, but he won't let Sharon have a lovelive of her own as long as it's still with him in his mind of course.
I don't think that Nick should enterfere in Sharon's lovelive no matter whom she sees.
She isn't married to either Nick or Jack anymore, besides Sharon's trying to herself back into the swing of everyday life.
Right now Sharon's just trying to find a lovelive that she can deal with as a much needed fresh start away from the every day antics of Phyllis where Nick is concerned.
Phyllis wants to work on her marriage with Nick without Sharon enterferring in their marriage, outside of Noah that is.

ADAM/SHARON:

 I can't even stomach the idea that Adam loves Sharon after what he's done to her.
I think alot of viewers might want to take a bottle of Peptobismal or tune out of seeing them doing the horizontal mambo together.
I think that Adam is stabbing his brother Nick and Jack right in their hearts as a form of payback for messing up their marriages with Sharon among other things.
I wish that someday Adam, will tell Sharon and Ashley the truth of what really happened to their children (Faith).

Again, Adam can't not be redeem in my eyes so that he is done.  So, lets have a murder mystery with old Adam and lets have the whole town want to string him on a rope.

Jack calls her "Red" not Big Red, he has also called Sharon a Bitch, I don't see you using that term when talking about Sharon!

It's a nickname ... not name calling. I can't see why someone would compare Red with bitch. That's nonsense.
And Jillian, I for one love your writing style. Phyllis is Red, Jack is Old Simlin', while Victor is the mustache or TGVN. Don't have a problem with it at all. These are nicknames and they all are part of the show.
Anyway .... didn't get that comment in the first place.

Soapjunkie its ok. Some people are just bias with Sharon and Phyllis. I'm not one of them. Jack has NO nickname for Sharon so I refuse to call her that.

Fine. Phyllis is Big Red and Sharon will be Big Easy. Can't decide what Nick's name should be. I'm thinking of Big Cold Sore.

what a boring week.

i'm watching B&B or General Hospital instead.

Pacing on this show is horrible.  They write at warp speed with some storylines (Sharon and Adam and Lily's surrogate story) and drag others too long (Who is Ryder's mother and what does she have against the Baldwins?). 

Sharon and Adam have gone from virtual strangers to hopping in the sack in a little over a month just so they can get to their shocking story of Adam sexing up his victim.  It makes Sharon look cheap and blows up their whole storyline of making Sharon a stronger person after losing her daughter and going through therapy.  Plus, after what Adam has pulled in the past 6 months, it is just a story turn off for me.  Adam better have a big fall down the line somewhere and not just conveniently lay everything at the feet of the OB he blackmailed who will conveniently end up dead (speculation only).

Phyllis deserved to lose her son who was raised more by Joannie, the nanny, when younger, but she was a good mother when Daniel was going through his trial over Cassie.   Since she has been with Nick though, Michael and Lauren have been there for Daniel more than Phyllis.  Phyllis pops into his storyline once in awhile but then goes back to worrying about Nick and Summer for weeks/months.  It was appropriate they went to visit Phyllis but had dinner over at Likey's.  Phyllis has been so about Nick and her precious daughter that she has forgotten about Daniel and she is so blinded by her dislike for Amber that she can't even give him romantic advice.  Lauren has handled that as Michael has handled Daniel's legal troubles. Maybe they are now going to bring Phyllis into Daniel's story and this Daisy and Ryder story.  Hope it doesn't mean Maria Arena Bell will once again be shoving Lauren and Tracey Bregman out of the picture again or using her just as a prop. It has been nice to see her more involved lately.

If Sheila is Ryder's mom, then Lauren is going to be front and centre as she battles her mortal enemy to the death!
