It's weird but I'm actually liking this storyline....Maybe I just get my kicks off of Lucky calling Liz a whore....which happened today in a great dream sequence.....I really don't care if Rebecca finds out though....which I think is what's going to happen.....Either way, at least the story is entertaining and RH is doing a great job since I kind of feel bad for her *  who said that?????*

Nik with a bloody nose!! I LOVE IT! LOL! I can't get too excited since Lucky will probably just be pissed for a couple of weeks and of course everyone will say none of this is Liz's fault. And I can hear the breathy whine now "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen. I lied to you because I didn't want to hurt you. I did this for my children..." blah blah blah.

I hope Lucky lets them both have it.  But Daisy you are probably right...if so YUCK.

I hate Liz/Nik, they make me wanna barf but it is good soap. I'm totaly waiting for Lucky to get pyscho on both their behinds. I mean if Lucky forgives Liz for this anytime soon, not gonna be happy.

I don't trust anything that comes from the marketing department, since they are way too awesome at their jobs.

Although I really wish Ho-Bag-Apaloosa was actually going to be exposed to the world this week (as opposed to the people least likely to do anything about it, cough*Luke*cough)...let's just say - I'll believe it when I see it.

A woman cheating on her boyfriend with her boyfriend's brother is classic literature and good soap.

On the one hand, we have recovering drug addict, serial liar, and adulterer Lucky.  On the other, we have good, handsome, rich Nicholas.  Yeah, that's a struggle. 

Liz is no whore.  I wish that people GH and people would stop with the use of that sexist term to label women like that.    When's the last time we saw Liz on a street corner taking $50 for services?  Has Nik given her cash? 

Why do women enjoy using the word slut? I realize that we are talking about a character but are we also talking about character? Are there words that we save for soaps or if it's in our vocabulary it's in our vocabulary? Is slut a slur against women that is designed keep us in a prim and tidy box designed by men?

Having said that, I am glad the sneaking around ends this week perhaps the next phase of this sl will be better written.

How the freak is Liz feeling like a whore because she accepts money from Jason, Jake's father!  That was a stupid plot point to make her look evil and Lucky look like a victim.  This is getting out of hand.

Jason is suppose to give her money.  Everything he gives her goes toward Jake's well being. So if he was to give her money toward that house they want to build, he is suppose to. Jake will be living there.  A woman taking child support is a whore, WTFreak! That sickens me.

Also we all like JJ as Lucky. So why does TIIC make it so that Lucky is this poor victim who Liz had an affair on. Lucky keeps bring it up like he didn't have all his drug induced sex with Maxie. Also Liz haters always said Liz had an ONS with Jason. Well according to the writers now, it was an affair not an ONS.

I think Nik's bloody nose comes from Rebecca whooping his behind. Not from Lucky.

jpp the difference is that when Sam, Carly, Maxie or any of a host of other characters get "destroyed" there is a comeuppance that eventually happens as part of the story and then they have to rebuild - the lose boyfriends/husbands/jobs/social standing SOMETHING. With Lizard the bad deed always gets blamed on someone else, covered up or in some way erased.  Where was the fallout for her bashing Zander in the head with a pipe and leaving him for dead or for driving drunk and in that state hitting something and not even knowing about it or lying to Lucky about Jakes paternity etc. etc.  No one so much as raised an eyebrow at her for any of those things.  (am I the only one that wanted to puke when Laura totally excused Lizard's Jake lie UGGGH)  So while I am looking forward to the good soapiness that will come of this, I dont want to hear Nik say ITS ALL MY FAULT again and I most definately do not want to see Lucky say "hey, no biggie". I want him to rip both of them to shreds and then have the story be about Lizards attempt to earn his forgiveness - the same way Sam had to rid PC of counterfeit drugs and save both Lizard and her sons from the Russian mob to BEGIN to win back some of the folks that had been in her life.

Dialo if those WERE her reasons, then I wouldnt have such a big problem with her saying something along those lines, but we know it is that she loves Lucky and wants the security and the public acceptance that would come with an LL2 reunion, but she is in LUST with Nik. If thats an acceptable reason to anyone for cheating I would be shocked.  Hmm and just what would THAT dialog look like "I'm so sorry Lucky, I didnt want to hurt you but I wanted to scratch my itch far more than I wanted to protect your feelings.  But hey, I did agree to marry you out of pity - doesnt that make it all good?"

josstheguy: torn between two brothers is a "classic" story, but that doesn't automatically make this story good. There are so many problems: LikNiz "passion" literally came out of nowhere and was rushed, the characters seem either scummy (Liz, Nik) or dumb (Lucky), and after LikNiz started messing around Liz had No Reason to agree to marry Lucky - she's even admitted she doesn't love him in "that way." One of the reasons a story like this usually works is because the woman is genuinely torn - she's in love with one man, but sexually attracted to the other. In this case, Liz isn't "in love" with Lucky, so agreeing to marry him while continuing a relationship with his brother is just cruel and completely unnecessary. What we have here is a woman who wants the comfort and security of one man and sex from another. So she comes off as a selfish b*tch (as opposed to someone genuinely torn) and Nik comes across as a jerk who suddenly doesn't care about his brother (where the heck did that come from??)  And worst of all, I'm not rooting for anyone. And those are just some of the problems I have with the story.

And your description of Nik was what I used to think of him...not after this story though. When a story has me hating a character I used to like (not just hating his actions...) that's a problem, imo.

And as far as "good old soapiness" goes... well, every story provokes both positive and negative responses. You can't really expect everyone to be all "Go Liz!" w/ this story can you?? She being just awful (as is Nik).

I quite enjoyed Liz admitting to herself via her dream that she is a ho just like everyone else.

Liz reopened that studio before she even had Jake. So Jason didn't give her the money for that.  Remember she hid Jason in there. And afterward she reopened it.  Jason didn't give her the money.

But I can't wait to see this old dynamic between Jonathan and Tyler. I loved it when Nik and Lucky hated each other. LOL That were really great scenes back then.

So I wrote this looong response to people's comments about using "slut" and "whore" when talking about soap characters, but I realized it would be pointles to post it. So I'll try and keep it short. If you have a problem with people using the words "slut" or "whore" in any context I can understand that. But if you're offended by it only when it's used against a character you like, then I can't take it seriously. Personally I don't care when it's used to criticize a fictional character - I might argue it, but I won't get offended.

I thought she said she struggled to keep making payments on the sex pad...I mean the studio and then Jason went ahead and took care of it.  And if she has had it all along, that means to pay bills she elected to rent out her body as a surrogate when she could have simply cut expenses (since as she readily admitted before Jake she hadnt painted in ages)

Daisy, you made some great points about why this story isnt what it should be.

I would love to hear how "Ho-Bag-Apaloosa" is too harsh a label for Nik and Liz's behavior.  I would be more inclined to agree with you if they were struggling with the guilt of a one-night stand, but that is obviously not the case.

I have to agree I am so looking forward to the Lucky/Nik scenes. I loved to watch back when Nik first came on and Lucky was all up in his face and acting out. At that time I loved both guys.

I have to also agree that I too feel sorry for Lucky (even if I don't like this Lucky) again he is being used and lied to. Liz did the exact same thing when she was screwing Jason but planing and marrying Lucky. I just pray we don't get another ONS baby from this.

See I don't even get the feeling that I am supposed to feel sorry for Liz , like I would anyway but:  if she wasn't doing the same thing to the same man, I think I might be behind her reasons (cause I do like her with Nik) but since she is pulling the same lies and cheating all over again and not being honest she is screwing Lucky twice over.

Yes this is a good old fashion soap story, brothers-sisters-cousins men/women messing around cheating, affairs and all the elements  but this is the same story for Liz nothing new here oh wait... yes there is, sorry I forgot, the name Jason has been changed to Nik other than that, same-o same-o

The terms "slut" and "whore" are sexist words used to attempt to control a woman's sexuality. They are about male supremacy as gained through the use of shame so that women voluntarily give up control of their bodies and lives. No one has a right to tell anyone how many people they can have sex with and under what circumstances. If a woman decides that she wants to have sex with ten people in one night every night for the rest of her life, it's nobody's business except her and her partners. And, laws notwithstanding, if she charges those people for the privilege, then good for her!

I'm not advocating promiscuity or unsafe sexual practices. However, I do believe that the only person able to make decisions about her body and her sexuality is the woman concerned. Everyone else should STFU. In using words like "slut" and "whore," the only thing that's happening is that the user is aiding patriarchal oppression. Women need to stop and think about their inner misogynist because, yes, it is most assuredly possible for women to be misogynistic. In fact, it's been my experience that women are often worse than men.

OK, after giving my standard objection to the use of the words "slut" and "whore," samrocks, I love your new name for Liz. It's quite inventive and deserves recognition. I should also say that simply because I object to the use of certain words as weapons of patriarchal oppression doesn't mean that I think it's emotionally healthy to have sex with one's partner's close relative or friend. The fallout is usually horrific, understandably so. I just hope the sex is worth it. It's been my experience that no "piece" is worth that much heartache.

I think the underlying assumption some people have is that I (and people who share my opinion) are only frowning on/upset about/outraged over LIZ's behavior, and that's not true.

Nik earned his Ho-Bag merit badge as soon as he started humping Courtney's leg in secret because his wife Emily was too busy RECOVERING FROM HER RAPE BY A MAN WHO WAS HIS IDENTICAL TWIN to sleep with him at the time.  And then he had the nerve to drop-kick Nadine to the curb and start sniffing around notEmily, only to starting humping Liz's leg once he got bored with his lame revenge plot against notEmily.

I don't believe for a second that Nik is AFRAID of the secret coming out or WANTS to bring their relationship out in the open.  Nope!  For Nik (and Liz too, probably) betrayal and scandal are awesome aphrodisiacs.  If Niz came clean tomorrow and by some miracle everyone was cool with it,  neither Nik NOR Liz would be interested in it anymore.

The reason I don't feel the need to constantly list the 99 Reasons Nik Blows as a Human Being is because I KNOW that when all is said and done, HE is the only one who will suffer as a consequence for the affair that THEY were involved in.  Liz will play  the victim perfectly, like she always does.  And she'll get away with it, like she always does.  So even though there were TWO people involved, only ONE will have to face the consequences.

See I don't think Liz plays the victim.  It's just that in her case every man she's been with, cheated on, etc always forgives her.  They still stay cool afterward.  Look at all the horrible stuff Ric did to Liz but she still stayed cool with him.  And Ric still was cool with her.  Look at Zander, the man shot her and they stayed cool.  After Liz discovered Lucky was sleeping with her sister, like a week later they were back cool again.

The men she gets with puts her on a pedastal.  That's why some haters think Liz is this angel who is so judgemental.

Like Wendy Williams says, Liz is a hot mess. She was always one from when she first came to PC until now.
