Adam Lambert To Make Guest Appearance On The View
By Jillian Bowe on December 05, 2009

It seems like ABC's making a bit of a peace offering to Adam Lambert. The controversial rocker is slated to make his first guest appearance on The View. This comes on the heels of the singer's much talked about performance on the America Music Awards and after Lambert was dropped from ABC's Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve show.
Lambert's appearance on the gab fest is slated on Dec. 10 right after his interview on Barbara Walters' 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009 on Dec. 9 at 10pm EST.

Sounds like ABC is doing some damage control.

I hope he does ok on "The View", should be OK because they pre-tape performances. I don't know much about Adam, not much a fan of his music yet. I haven't heard it much yet, so I'll save my opinion on that. I have nothing against gays, I like alot of music done by other gay artists, including Gaga, who I'm a HUGE fan of, but I can't figure out what Adam is doing. I agree that if you don't like him just because he's gay, that is just ignorant, but as an artist just starting off I would think that he would try NOT to offend anybody. General Hospital is using his song, "Mad World" during one of ther storylines and the song sounds amazing, I would totally like to hear what he's got. But dude, really, tone it down a BIT.

Why should he "tone it down" when Madonna, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, etc all made careers out of being shocking and provocative? What's the difference, except he's an out gay man?

The differrence IS: A) NONE of these WOMEN pushed a guy(OR GIRL)'s face into their crotch and smushed it around for seconds on end, B) all of the girls' "girl on girl" was on CABLE. Of course, EVERYBODY is showing the Madonna/Brit/Christina kiss but that was originally on CABLE. I don't NEED Adam to be a babysitter, my kids are 17 and 21, but really, that was just inappropriate for that station at that time. I have NOTHING against Adam at ALL, but I wanna hear him sing, not watch him try to screw another guy onstage. Bad song choice, too.

Didn't the incident occur after 10pm?
I agree that it wasn't a very thoughtful choice unless he really wanted to spark conversation and press. He had to know that the networks would freak out. It is what they do. It was ABC, wasn't it? I heard him say that he got carried away and none of the stuff that ABC is upset about was done in rehearsal. They should have a say if they will be the ones who have to answer to the FCC. If what he wanted was press, he got it.
I don't think it is any different from what Madonna has done and he shouldn't have a different standard than a female artist. But, are there different rules for cable versus ABC? Was he notified of what he could do and couldn't do? Did he just ignore warnings?

It's all so that old joke WaWa can get some publicity for her show 10 most facinating ppl. I can't stand Barbara, you have no idea. That women doesn't know when to quit.
He'll go on, say two sentences about and then kiss Barbara's ass, she'll kiss her own and then throw to Whoopi to promote that show. I'm going to watch the facinating ppl show because I want to see Lady Gaga, but Adam isn't going to say something that no one has heard.

Okay! Chelsea Handler put it best by saying ABC is the gayest station on TV! Well next to Logo or Bravo. LOL! Seriously though let us look at their most popular shows. Desperate Housewives doesn't get much bigger of a gay following than that! Then there are the shows with gay characters, Desperate Housewives included, Brothers and Sisters, Ugly Betty, Modern Family, and Grey's Anatomy.
Grey's is a perfect example of a show that got the prime spot following the Super Bowl a few years back. They are doing a storyline about two lesbians right now. That is one of the be best shows on ABC and it has gone gay!
Modern Family is supposedly the best comedy in years and it is so Gay it is funny!
Ugly Betty well you don't get much gayer than that! (Stereotypes aside)
Brothers and Sisters umm Kevin and any guy he has been on the screen with kissing, umm need I say more? They totally play the gay card!
Last and most importantly is daytimes crown jewel One Life To Live which is a smash hit with fans for its continue look at Gay life. I love the whole same sex marriage storyline. Go Kish! I am also rooting for Nick to find his true love and as much as I want the other too idiots who beat him up on Friday's episode to go away is the hot one be a closet case and come around to help Nick in future bashings. It would be an interesting twist and great to see life come full circle that way.
Bottom line ABC is way more gayer than the Peacock network. I mean we saw more kisses from Kish than we have from Nuke! GO OLTL for that one!

I watch OLTL and I love the Kish storyline. Don't mind seeing them kiss at all! BUT if one of em' grabs the others' HEAD and pushes it into his crotch and rubs it around, I am not gonna be happy. I wouldn't like it lesbians OR straight people did it either! If I want PORN, I'll buy PORN!
