General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

So was it just me or was the Coleman/Kate proping the movie Nine a little too much. I sure hope GH was paid for that promo.

 It wasn't just you, trust me.

 I would, too, like to know where Sonny's kids are. And molly. We saw a little of Michael last week with the whole Jason thing but what happened to Kris/Keiffer? 

Love JASAM but they need to get things going. It's moving a little slow. As is Dante's reveal. More and more people are finding out about Dom really being Dante Falc and a detective except for the crucial people it will effect.

Liz is pissing me off. Even though she wasn't on today she just needs to CHOOSE because both Nik and Lucky are beginning to look pathetic.

Love scrubs but can't wait for the new Lisa because this one just irks me the wrong way and I would like to see a little drama.

Don't like Steve. All of the sudden he becomes chief of staff ?! What about Patrick. I guess I'm team Patrick.

But yeah I'm enjoying GH for the most part =)

I wasn't able to enjoy Coleman/Kate because of that irritating NINE dialogue. Geez!

Dante and Lulu are adorable!! Loved when he ran into the door. LOL!!!

I'm with you, cooper. Bring on the new Lisa. This one reminds me of Nadine. 

I was so excited to see Coleman & Kate on my screen...he was looking especially sexy and I LOVED her hair.  They should have done this hairstyle with her a long time ago...she looks so much less uptight - I think that's why I couldn't warm up to her before - but THIS Kate I would LOVE to see on my screen.  I was a little leary at first when they were completely pushing that movie but then we got some scenes with just them.  HOT!  More please.

To be perfectly honest I have been fast forwarding through most of the show - especially today.  I think I watched it in 10 minutes....Nik/Luke/Lucky & Coleman/Kate...but the rest was a waste of time. 

I am back to hating JaSam with a passion.  They are BORING in the EXtreme.  I heard someone say something the other day that made me LOL.  They said, "I'm glad things are finally back to normal on GH.  A bottle of Windex in one hand and a roll of Bounty in the other...Sam has returned to her exalted position as Jason's Head Turd Polisher". 

How disappointing...just when she was showing such promise...

I loved the Lucky/Dante scene and the Kate/Coleman scene.  Since I'm looking forward to seeing "Nine" I guess I didn't mind the reference and it was nice to see Kate and Coleman flirting.  Hopefully we'll get more of them.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Luke and Lucky scene and the Dante and Lulu scene.  I had to watch each of them more than once.  TG and JJ have great chemistry and it shows in their scenes.  And JMB and DZ have excellent chemistry as well.  I love how humor is used in their scenes and the kiss was HOT!

Did Nikolas think it was cool to be punching on a 60+ year old man?  And why didn't Lucky arrest him for assault?  I do wish Luke would tell Tracy what's going on, especially if he isn't going to tell Lucky.

Maxie has become boring and difficult to listen to.

I understand why Sam is concerned about Jason.  He's dealing with an insane serial killer who kills for fun and has been following him for months, if not years.  Why wouldn't she be concerned for her boyfriend?

The tension between Patrick and Steve could be interesting depending on where the storyline goes.  I'm still waiting on the new Lisa.  The current actress does nothing for me.  I have to hope that any doctor I know would feel at least a little bit bad about a patient dying on their operating table. 

Franco tagged Maxie and Lulu's apartment building's entrance.  Do you think that's another warning for Jason?  Ducky inferred that Franco stages his crime scene photos first and then kills to make them real.  And he already has photos of Maxie!   

Why in the eff was TC sweating after a 2-3 min punching scene?  Did anyone else notice the perspiration on his face right after Lucky broke up the fight?  Weird...

Sam is Jason's personal assistant. So sad. WIth Lucky she was independent and had her own life. I miss LuSam:(

Loved Dimples v Dimples at the hospital. I also loved little Dimples' glasses. I bet she can see though a brick wall.

I just loved that fight. It was the most horrible staged fight there was.  Luke old behind dragging himself over there was so funny.  After he threw that first punch it seemed like he lost his breathe. Luke bleeds whiskey and scotch.

I understand what Nik was saying about being hypocritical. Luke cheated on Laura with Holly not to mention the way he treated her when Nik came to town as a teen. Rape not even included. So I understood Nik saying Luke was a hypocrite. But Nik also knows how much Luke loves his firstborne so he should have stayed away.

I LOVED  the Luke and Lucky scenes. They are just amazing to watch. What Luke said was so good. He is so hurt that Lucky thinks the worst of him. He hates that Lucky doesn't trust him. Lucky told Luke to tell him what's wrong but Luke won't. But Lukcy told him if he gets hurt, let him get hurt.

I just hate how Luke keeps saying Liz and her kids.  It was Lucky's choice to be a father to those kids.  Liz and Cam were hanging good on their own when Lucky kissed Liz that time and wanted to start a relationship with her. Also Lucky chose to be a father to Jake.  No one is forcing Lucky to be around those kids.

Love Lethal Weapon but I am also sick of hearing them repeat the same thing. That Dante/Lulu kiss was hot and the way Lulu giggled was cute. They are cute when she's not Sonny worshipping.  Bout time JMB found some chemistry with a man!

I was wondering that too. Maybe it was that coat wrapped around that thick neck. I was also wondering where that blood on the side of his face came from because that weak punch Luke threw couldn't knock down Lila if she was still alive.

Kate and Coleman are now officially my 4 favorite couple on the show after only two dates LOL.  1. JaSam 2. Lute 3. Scrubs 4. KC.  I hope tptb realize that they just stepped in paydirt with those two.  I could see DiMax and KC on a double date...that would be a riot.

Heaven forbid Sam trieds to help Jason repel a threat to himself, Michael, and Spixie - all people she happens to love too.  Please tell me why thats a bad thing?  When Sam goes to find her father, I am sure Jason will be by her side trying to help and protect her the same way she is doing that for him now.

As for Luke, I think they are both hypocritical.  Nik has always been disgusted by Luke's behavior and yet now he is behaving the same way, meanwhile Luke is criticizing Nik for pulling a Luke.  Is it wrong that I wish both characters would just pull out a gun and kill each other off once and for all?

Actually, with what you see about drinks being left unattended and being spiked, yes, Lulu should have kept a better eye on her drink. I never leave my drink unattended, even if I’m at a house I’m familiar with and with people I trust.

As for Maxie, she had no idea who this guy was. I know that no means no every time; I would never argue with that. But you do not, ever, go to a stranger’s house alone. The second Franco tried to blindfold her she should have run screaming. I’m sorry, but I honestly believe what I’m saying here; Maxie is responsible for her actions and I’m not saying that Franco would have been blameless by any means if he had raped her. But a defense lawyer would have a field day if Maxie were ever raped and she went to trial. I’m not saying that’s right, but it is a fact, given everything Maxie has done. Women have been torn apart in court for much less during a rape trial. She slept with guys to get back at other girls. She went to Franco’s studio alone when she didn’t know him from Jack the Ripper. I hate to say it, but a really dedicated defense lawyer might even dig up some of the Internet photos Kyle took of her. That was not Maxie’s fault, but a defense lawyer would twist it around to make it seem like Maxie willingly posed for those photos, and she should have known better after that experience to be alone with Franco. If it ever went to trial about Franco’s photos, which it won’t because I think Jason will kill him first, his lawyer would drag all this out and Franco might get off. They might even hold what Diego did against her; the drugs and taking pictures of her and Georgie and Brooke, although the lawyer might only show the pictures of her to make his case and try to keep the other pictures out of evidence. That wasn’t her fault either, but again, it could be twisted around. Maybe I was harsh in saying it would be partly her fault if Franco raped her, but a jury might see it that way.

I don’t believe Franco is Spinelli’s brother, but it would be an interesting story line for Spin if he was. Spin would have to deal with the fact that his biological brother is psychotic and has become obsessed with his surrogate brother and then maybe Spin’s parentage would be revealed.

I can see why Sam being Jason’s had cheerleader could get annoying, but I also think Jason needs someone to keep him grounded.

I wonder if Nikolas was sweating because he’s a prince and not used to physical fights. The only really physical activities we ever see him doing these days are sexing up Liz and occasionally riding a horse.

I didn’t really care one way or another about the movie promo.

Lulu is beginning to annoy me with the mixed signals; she’s doing it again. First she wants Dante to take her out to dinner, then she again insists that they’re not dating. Make up your mind and quit playing head games with the guy already! I do like them together, though. Dante is the first guy I’ve seen Lulu with who I liked. I didn’t like her with Johnny or Logan and I hated the way she told Spin he was a good friend one minute and then punished him for telling her the truth when she didn’t want to hear it the next. I didn’t like her with Dillon because they hurt Georgie and I didn’t see her with Milo enough to care one way or another. I actually believe her with Dante, except for the mixed signals she gives to every guy in her path. That’s the writers’ fault, though, not Lulu’s or JMB’s.

I haven’t made up my mind whether or not I like Lisa yet, either the actor or the character. I took Lisa’s detached attitude to mean she was just trying to be professional or not wanting to seem to show weakness in public, or in front of Robin.

Re: Loo...It's not as if she was at a freakin' bar/club or social event and left her drink unattended.  She was AT WORK, for goodness' sake.  Of course, I have to take your comments at face value, but I have a hard time believing that you (or anyone, really) are constantly vigilant about your beverages regardless of your surroundings.  I mean, I have to ask - what do you do when you are eating at a restaurant and have to go to the bathroom?  Do you take your plate and glass with you?

Re: Maxie...I understand that one of your points was that perception is sometimes more important than the truth.  HOWEVER, the only person to blame for a crime is the person who committed it.  It's comments like yours that make rape victims afraid to come forward.  What's more these types of comments are precisely the reason that assailants often assert that "she had it coming" or "she wanted it."  If I go for a run around my neighborhood at 10pm and somebody tries to rob me at gunpoint, would you argue that I was partly at fault?  I certainly hope not.

Yes, Maxie has done questionable things in the past, including using sex as a weapon.  But that doesn't change the fact that if she doesn't want to have sex with a particular person at a particular time, SHE HAS THE RIGHT TO SAY NO AND HAVE THE LAW ON HER SIDE.

I just see Lulu denying the dating as her and Dante's shtick.  That is why she smiled after he kissed her.  They are both playing games.  They are not taking the relationship as seriously as all of the other couples on the show.  I like it.  Zero angst!

I didn't like how Sam told Maxie that they couldn't protect her anymore.  I don't remember them ever trying.  I too am a bit tired of the repetitive Jason / Sam conversation about Franco.  I like that Jason has to question himself and I don't understand why it is a bad thing.  I would much rather Sam be asking if Franco is correct rather than just shaking her pom-poms and telling Jason that he is a good killler.  What is wrong with some self evaluation?  I know it won't go anywhere and Jason will end up killing Franco.  But, I would like to see Jason change a bit.  They have had him questioning his choices but never changing anything.  I liked that he got in Michael's face and took responsibility for messing that kid up but that should not be the end of it.

Luke sucker punched Nikolas because Nik was correct that Luke is being a hypocrite.  After that, there was a really bad body double whose wig was obvious and in danger of falling off.  I do like the chemistry between Luke and Lucky.  I was thinking that maybe Lucky doesn't trust Luke because he was all about Luke while growing up and Luke let him down.  First, Lucky found out about Laura's rape.  That changed how Lucky saw Luke.  After that, Helena faked Lucky's death and Luke never came for him.   He accepted her ruse.  That has to have changed how Lucky sees his childhood hero who could make no mistakes. 

I was glad that Maxie decided to tell the truth.  I hope she follows through.

pisces - I don't think Lulu is sending Dante mixed signals.  I think that's her way of flirting with him because she isn't sure about him yet and he seems to get that.

It is NEVER a woman's fault if she's raped. EVER. And she is NEVER "partially" to blame. EVER. I don't care if she made a bad choice. I don't care if she's alone with a stranger. I don't care if she wasn't watching her drink close enough. I don't care what she's wearing. I don't care what her sexual history is. I don't care if she's walking down the street naked. NO means NO and when a woman is raped it is ONLY the fault of the rapist's. PERIOD. Yes, a defense attorney, doing his/her job, will often turn the tables on the victim and put them on trial instead. And sometimes a jury might blame the victim. They're WRONG.

Unfortunately, it's a dangerous world and women need to be protective themselves. It's a sad thing, but you often have to be distrustful of people in order to try and stay safe, but taking all the precautions in the world still doesn't guarantee your safety - not by a long shot. Some women are trusting, some are careless and others are just at the wrong place at the wrong time.  They're ALL BLAMELESS.

Blaming victims does nothing except reinforce dangerous myths and misconceptions about rape.

I am loving Lulu and Dante right now.  Their little back and fourth flirtation brings a light heartedness to the show.

Sam needs to be careful,  or she is going to end up losing her self in Jasons life again.

Luke is NOT being a hypocrite. He is being a father. A father who sees his sons brother about to rip his life apart.  There is nothing hypocritical, about being protective of(and outraged for), the child that you love.

I just read a spoiler on another site that says Franco "kills" Lulu and that she is "presumed" dead.  I hope it's not true!

jlj0117 - I agree with you about Luke.  I just wish he would tell Lucky the truth so Lucky can deal with it and move on with his life!

Luke walks away from his responsibilities all of the time. He cheated on Laura.  He was chasing after Laura while married to Tracy.  He was chasing after Holly while married to Tracy.  He is a cheater.  Of course he is being protective of Lucky but that does not mean he isn't being hypocritical.  Nikolas knows he is hurting Lucky.  He also knows Luke shouldn't take the high ground.  Luke cheated on Nik's mother too.

By the way, I don't like the destruction of Liz / Nik /Lucky's friendship either.

GHvetfan - Yes Luke is a life long cheater.  But he never slept with one sister while engaged or married to the other.  What Liz and Nik are doing is so much more than just simple cheating.  Liz is deliberately destroying the relationship between two brothers and Nik is stabbing his brother in the back.  Unforgivable in my opinion!

Sassy I started a spoiler thread over on the message board so that we could chat about spoilers until Regan returns full time (which cant be soon enough) so that we can chat freely without wrecking it for those that dont read spoilers.  I hope anything you come across you add there!!

Luke did cheat on Laura while he was supposedly running with her and Lucky.  He took her from Port Charles and they lived on the road because he had been involved with the mob.  During that time, he left her and went off with Holly.  He wasn't protecting her at that time.  He wasn't taking care of his family.  He was taking care of his wants and needs.  How is that different from what Nik is doing?

Sassy - I am not defending Nikolas.  The writers ruined Luke for me when they brought on Ethan.  I really don't want him to lecture anyone on fidelity.

GHvetfan - Well I agree with you about the lecturing and the Ethan/Holly storyline.  I just wish Luke would tell Lucky what's going on so his son can deal with it before it gets any worse.  Like Lucky actually marrying Liz or her getting pregnant again.
