I've never been a Lucas fan - though I have an affection for BD - but I feel bad for the actor and his fans. I'm sure the Lucas/BD fans will be campaigning to get him back on the show!

didn't he just come back?? I stopped watching months ago, but I feel bad for Bryan...always liked him, despite the fact that the writers made him a dumb schmuck a lot of the time.

Eh, I'm not too disappointed that he's leaving.  His character has become annoying and clueless.   That being said, I wish Chloe would leave right along with him. Too bad they can't get rid of her too. Maybe later on if Daniel and Carly fall in love. I would love that! One can wish! 

If I still watched Days, I'd be upset because I always loved Lumi.

this doesn't surprise me but it still sucks. the writers have killed the character of lucas. he used to be a great schemer & now he's just annoying. poor bryan. hope he gets on at another soap

when most of these actors lose their jobs i feel for them and bryan qualifies but lucas has been horribly written for yrs now so this was bound to happen
he'll end up on either of the la soaps if he wamts work in daytime

My best wishes to Bryan. I wish him the best.  Days has mistreated Lucas and Bryan for years, yoyoing the character on and off canvas.

Hope he has been paid well enough for all the run around.  Guess sooner or later he will be back.

It was so obvious that this regime didn't care for him, that's sad.

I agree, AlistairCrane.  I am SOOOOO tired of Nicole, Sami, and EJ over and over and over! At least the show is featuring stories for Victor, Vivian, Hope, etc.  Carly's also a plus.  Maybe as soon as they finish the Sydney storyline, they'll just shut up for a while about Sami.

It sickens me how Sami became the star of the show when Carrie was always the more charismatic Brady sister, most deserving of being front and centre all the time. *sigh*

Exactly. I love the Sami character, but she does not have to be the center of attention.  Days writing has gotten better, in my opinion, but they are still so obsessed wi.h writing for the same characters.

This really sucks! They are just being lazy, how can they not have anything to do with Lucas? Does he cost too much?

Why yes.  If Smitty's wishful casting happened, I'd go right on back to watching B and B as if the whole Taylor / Ridge / Brooke thing for the fifty-leventh time never happened.

I'm sorry to hear that Bryan lost his job - I always enjoyed his portrayal of Lucas, even though it doesn't always seem as if the writers knew what to do with him.  It's a shame that actors have to pay for writers being silly.

Days just needs to stop treating this man like a human yo-yo.  Work today, gone tomorrow.  So sad!

i feel sorry for all those bryan/lucas fans out there.  however, i am not surprised.  the show has not put his character to much use of late, which sucks because he is a vet.  i do wish bryan the best and maybe he will be back on days in the future.

@AlistairCrane unfortunately for the Carrie character, the actress was boring when she came back a few years ago (and this is from someone who originally was a Carrie fan and hated Sami).

But, back on topic, which the guy well. I hated Lucas though, so I won't be missing him.

Christie Clark's return in 2005/6 was the reason I started watching Days again, and she was NOT boring. Christie Clark is the only way I'd start watching Days again today since it's unlikely my first choice, Deidre Hall, will return.

I will always love Carrie and hate SAmi.

Wow poor Bryan. He was so loyal to the show no matter how many times they treated him like crap. AS A LUMI fan I'll miss him. As a fan of the actor I wish him all the best. He needs to land a sitcom - he's hilarious and has amazing charisma. All the best.

Wow that's Sad. When I do watch Days I'm always rooting for Lumi! I agree with some of the wishful castings. I think he would be a great Joey Buchanan on OLTL!

I gotta agree about Carrie being boring last time around.  She's not the first character I think of when I want people to come back.  That being said, I did enjoy her "I'm gonna kill you!" fight with Sami. Hilarious!!!!!! 

Nothing makes me sadder than Carrie hate. She's such a brilliant character played by an amazing actress. Carrie and Austin are a hot, popular supercouple and really should be in frontburner stories on Days right now. But I guess it's better to be off in Switzerland than under Higley's poison pen.

But with Will having s/l, will Lucas be attendance and why is he leaving now?  But I feel bad for Bryan because this is a shaky job environment and hope that he lands on his feet.
