The L.A. Times is reporting that Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti will make appearances on All My Children to commemorate the show's relocation to Southern California. Villagraigosa will shoot an episode Tuesday, which should air February 17.
He'll play himself crossing paths with Erica Kane, played by the legendary Susan Lucci, at a local hot spot called Confusion in the fictional city of Pine Valley. Kane will chitchat with Villaraigosa about meeting the year before at a charity event in Los Angeles.
Garcetti represents the council district where AMC tapes. His scene will tape Thursday, with a scheduled airdate of February 16. According to the folks at ABC,
Garcetti, who will also play himself, will be in Pine Valley to meet with [David] Canary's character, Adam Chandler, about initiatives to make the fictional Chandler Enterprises more environmentally friendly.
AMC began production in their new digs last week after 40 years in New York City.
