I so agree with Luke, and Jamey I have noticed that the writers use Bree Williamson as the victim in these off the wall sweeps. I agree with Jessica , needs to run the paper and have someone try to improve it when they buy it.

I agree about the Jessica points.  I'm so tired of seeing these perils of Pauline stories with her.  I like Jamey's idea of having her in a newspaper storyline.  Before all of these tragedies Jessica was a reporter at the Sun.  Why couldn't she be involved in some big news/crime story.  They could bring Brody into it and have some conflict (the reporter and the cop clashing). Also, when was the last time Viki and Todd actually cared about the Banner and the Sun.  There's so much storyline potential there.

I heard and interview with Tyler and that is how he was instructed to act the sceen,  think about it Guza really wants another emmy from JJ so they are having everyone else prop him up.  I would rather have Nick and Liz together if I can't have Liason.  Almost stopped watching because I can't STAND Kelly M. She always has the hands and the look on her face like she is stroking out.

LOL.
Jonathan Jackson doesn't need actors propping for him (by not acting) to look good and win an emmy.  He already won 3 working with the best in the business.
Sounds more like TC coming up with excuses for sleepwalking in his scenes.

Also, actors usually work off each other, to elevate each other performances, they sure as hell don't lay down and die and let the other actor do all the work.

Anyways, POW Jonathan Jackson without a doubt.

I have to agree, Jillian is really loud. I had to turn the volume down when she spoke, and it was hard because the others would end up being really quite.

But other than that I really enjoyed the podcast again this week.

I agreed with most of it, except for Jamie's Liar/Jason stuff of course.

Though I STRONGLY DISAGREE, I can accept people liking Guza and appreciating his style and thinking GH is a pretty good show.  Different strokes and all that jazz.  But to hear Jamey praise Maurice Benard, and everyone else apparently agreeing?  That just leaves me totally dumbfounded.  Everyone always does it, and his fellow actors are always giving interviews and saying how wonderful he is, so maybe I'm the crazy one.

Well unfortunately, pretty much anything Jamie says on here 99.9 percent of the posters agree wholeheartedly with. Thats just the way it is. And other actors really DO praise Bernard like the is an acting God, and I just don't see it.

Jamey Did I just hear you correctly?  You are becoming a Natalie B fan?  Woot!  I have always enjoyed your Liason lovin heart and your contributions to the podcasts but now I just love you to pieces! Welcome to the dark side.  I really, really like Natalie when she is focused on a mission.  And right now, she is on fire!

Totally agree with everyone about JJ's performance last week.  I can no longer watch GH but I You Tubed to watch just those scenes.  Fantastic work by JJ.

Let's be clear about Maurice Benard:

I think reaction overall (across the interwebs) has been mixed about Benard performance the week in question with Dominic. I happened to like it, not because Jamey, Jillian, Luke, the Jolly Green Giant, or the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man did but because I did.

However, it has been my experience at Daytime Confidential — both as a "regular poster" and as a contributor — that at times Benard has been roundly criticized for some of the same reasons that Tyler Christopher is now.

If you are not a fan of Benard at all, that is certainly your right. However, it's inaccurate to characterize us a essentially marching in lock step simply because a number of us on the podcast or the site are on the same the same wavelength on some things. Trust me — of all people — we aren't always.

I went and found out Lucky real to be able to understand what y'll were talking about, and gosh JJ is out of this world.

I thought that BH was there emotionnaly and frnakly I don't see how else she could act or react, she was speechless and that was the goal.

As for TC I agree, he was thinking what is up for dinner!

To conclude that GH is great, and that Guza ir remotely good, is such a strech that I want what Jamey is having too!

One or two good scene does not make a good soap!

To each their own!

Jamey, I call peace. I think I can safely say that you and I don't see eye to eye on GH (to put it lightly) and I admit that your admiration for Guza makes me want to rip my hair out.  But you and I have found common ground - we both think Tyler Christopher needs to get off his behind and act like he cares.  His acting has been so...well, blah is the only word I can think of.  And this has been going on for at least two years now.  Tyler, if you're so bored, go find something else to do.  We'd like to be entertained, not have to speculate on what you're thinking about when you're eye-rollingly going through the motions onscreen!

And although I am not a fan of Rebecca Herbst's acting or her character, I heartily give her credit for at least being present during those reveal scenes.  I think any good actor needs someone to work with them to come up with the right emotion and tone, and she was there, doing ALL the heavy lifting, while Tyler apparently was buffing his nails behind her.  So kudos to her for always trying, even if I don't think she succeeds all the time.

And Luke, yeah, Lulu acted like a hypocrite, but she was acting like a hypocrite to the hyporcite who ripped Maxie a new one for faking a pregnancy while carrying a baby she was pawning off as belonging to someone other than the actual father (AND it was her second time doing this), so I give her a pass.

And Jillian, she was defending her family, and that was nice to see, especially since when Liz was with Jason, Lulu regularly put on her "Team Jason" cheerleading outfit at the expense of her brother.

OH, and if Liz hadn't forgiven Lucky for cheating on her, then why the hell did she agree to marry him, and BEG him not to break their engagement when Lucky wanted?

I agree with Jamey, there is all this hate about GH, only online seems to me. I swear anyone I know or talk to who are fans of this show who are offline, love it. I'm so tired of reading the same negative shit day in and day out. I'm also tired of people dissing others who might like/love a character/couple/show/Guza. We all have a right to our thoughts and to post what we want to say, I know that.

As for MB, I think he's a great actor. To each there own. Maybe his fellow actors praise him because they know the real person and respect him as an actor, not the character he plays. MB has been on GH for 17 years now.  He's been in the daytime comunity longer with his years on AMC before coming onto GH. I read all the praise and respect Tony Geary and nobody bats an eye over that and TG gets mixed reviews. MB is a such a sweet heart, I've meet him once and actually won a contest to do an interview with him. I respect him as an actor and I think he's awesome. Not everyone feels the same about things.

I agree 100% about Jessica on OLTL. How much can she go threw. There are other women on this show to torture, give Jess a break. It's like they don't know what to do with her.

POW - Jonathen Jackson for sure. He burned down the house. All his stuff was amazing. Make room for that 4th emmy now.

HM - Dominic Zamprogna and Maurice Benard. The week belongd to JJ. Also to OLTL's Blair & Eli just because they are smoking. Blair has never been sexier.

DM - Hands down TC. I mean he's been phoneing it in for years now. He just stood there with a lone tear, please. You can stand still all you want but show some emotion on your face. I almost want to give it Becky H. But I kinda liked her performance, the only thing that bugged me was at the end when she was alone in her home and cried on her couch, that was so painfully fake and forced it hurt. But for the most part I thought she was good. For me she just kinda lost it at the end there.
Also RB for Mitch Lawerence, agree with Luke on that 100%. I can't take this storyline seriously. I have issues with OLTL and this is a main reason. I mean I also give this storyline a DM, if I gotta see John McBain fake fight and ride to the rescue one more time.

If I gave the impression that I was dissing people who like MB, or hold any other opinion, I apologize, ladyofthelake.  I literally just don't understand it, but you're quite right that everyone is entitled to their opinion and to air it.  It's what makes the Internet go 'round!  *LOL*

I do take issue whenever it comes up that it's only online folks who are negative.  The truth is, we don't know what everyone else thinks, because they're not telling us.  Even ratings, in a lot of ways, don't really tell you much.  It can be surprising, though, what's controversial online.  I never, ever knew Liz was such a divisive character until really rather recently.

Maurice  Benard is one of the best actor in the biz, but I am so sick of the Sonny hour that it is the same old same old.  I think that what fans are sick of MB eating up the show.  I don't blame MB, I blame Guza and Frons for putting all their eggs in on basket, LOL.
