Carly the Outsider, Holden the Questioned and Barbara the Threatened on ATWT
By Mike Jubinville on February 05, 2010

Carly (Maura West) watches Jack (Michael Park) and Janet (Julie Pinson) get closer. Lily (Noelle Beck) questions Holden (Jon Hensley) about what could have happened to Damian (Paolo Seganti). Paul (Roger Howarth) threatens Barbara (Colleen Zenk Pinter) at gunpoint and Mick (Tom Pelphrey) attacks a cop for Alison (Marnie Schulenburg). I'm getting really tired of Jack and Janet and Carly, how many times does Carly have to walk in on them. I want Jack and Carly back, hope don't have to wait for the end for that. I don' t like the Mick story line, hope that end soon. I like Tom, but don't like the storyline. Maybe he might be David Stenbeck anybody remembers him.

I'm with you Henry. I tweeted last night that I do not want a Jack and Carly "lighthouse" (like GL's Josh and Reva) reunion at 2:55 p.m. on the last air date. There isn't much time, so make it happen NOW. Liberty's cancer is just a plot device to keep Jack with Janet. I do not have a high opinion of Jack right now, a man who holds his standards so high against everyone else.
As much as I love Barbara, I have a hard time believing that she would fall into James' arms again. I can see her being charmed early on with the hope that things could be different between them because that's one of her major loves, but now that he's messing around with Paul and Emily, I think she would be unblinded by now. His charm has worn off, big time.

I don't understand why they don't just make Mick, David, they could say he excaped from jail and was on the run all this time, unil James contacted him and using him to get to Emily, Pual, and of course Babs!!!

So let me get this straight? You'd like Jack better right now if he left his wife and cancer stricken stepdaughter/niece to go back with his ex-wife Carly (even though he loves her)? Now, I am HUGE CarJack fan but even that sounds like a crazy character assasination move to me. I could understand doing just that if he knew that his suddenly morally uprightous and religous wife had done something like participated in a one night stand with her boss...then maybe he'd be justified in saying that he isn't going to stay in the marriage but still support Liberty. Oh...wait...she DID!
I actually like the fact that we are seeing who Jack's heart belongs with and that he is only with Janet out of obligation. I love Julie Pinson, but I can't stand the character of Janet. She has even managed to make her daughter's leukemia all about "me me me me" while guilting Jack into staying with her despite her being unfaithful. I'm so tired of this whole storyline it's disgusting. It's obvious neither one wants to be in the marriage (Janet wants Dusty, Jack wants Carly) so why couldn't they just part maturely and still agree to be there for Liberty? Oh, yeah, cause it's a soap and the writers can't think outside the box! Although when they do we get things like the Mick storyline so I don't really know what's worse...
Anyway, I do agree with you and the above poster about ending this stupid plot device storyline and putting Carly and Jack back together sooner rather than a contrived "lighthouse reunion" (which I am totally loving the terminology for). There are plenty of internal issues they need to work on instead of the fans being subjected to outsiders like Janet and Craig (eyeroll) again.
